I'm not a massive Potter fan or anything, but this song makes me well up. It reminds me of when I was young and these films were coming out. Reminds me of being a small kid who thought anything was possible. I'm 24 now, I've attempted suicide 3 times and I haven't been happy for a very long time, so this song taking me back to being a kid makes me just want to cry. There is absolutely no magic in the real world, and the people in it aren't fun and memorable like the ones in these films. They're spiteful and hateful, and the only way to deal with them is to become just like them - so that's what I am now. Harry Potter kind of represents an ideal world I had when I was a child - that dream has been shattered over the years, but things like this song show me glimmers of it. I wish I could be that small child again; I wish I would only have those pure thoughts again. But it won't happen, and it kills me everyday.

i am a stranger to you, but i think magic does work in one way or another. It is magic that you are still alive today despite of attempted suicide, and it is magical that i can see your comment in a youtube video among million ones. You coming to this song means that you love art, and you have a beautiful soul. You are right that there are bad human beings, but dont blame yourself for it. Everyone have to grow up, and being carefree does not mean that bad things dont exist. They are still there. Ppl change every day, and there is nothing wrong about it. Dont try to deny who you are. I hope you find peace in the end. God bless you.
Listen, magic does exist, and I don't mean it in a figurative sense only. Please don't just give up but ask for it, look for it, and be very open minded. You might wish to start from John Michael Greer's books for example. But there are many other paths too...
No. You can be better, don't let negative thoughts destroy you from the inside out. The wish that you could be that pure again, means you have always been that pure. It's still there, you just need to find it. In short: Magic Works.
Hey, I don't know you but your comment caught my eye. I just had to log in to reply to you. Don't despair. Yes, there is bad in the world and there is heartbreak. However, there is tremendous good in the world as well. There is tremendous beauty as well. There are all kinds of people in the world. Just associate with the ones who help you instead of the ones who put you down. I read somewhere once, 'whenever depression strikes, I shut my home and go across the train tracks and work amongst the less fortunate'. I believe that it is true. Help someone when you are the one hurting yourself. It all comes back. You will find love, you will find companionship. You are still young. It will happen. Watch the sun set, behold the rainbow and smell the earth. There is beauty waiting to be found at every step. Don't despair my friend. This life is still yours to live. There is joy still to be felt.
