    Sometimes the small goals we give them will build a habit... not so much teach the thing and the reason why we want it done And that's ok. The reason why doesn't always matter.

    The autistic suicide machine. I went through ABA. They tried to extinguish my harmless hand flapping, and it was so painful holding in my stims that I ended up biting off the tip of my tongue instead. I attempted suicide from trying to push down the autism and trying to be neurotypical. I endured the pain of eye contact and learned to never say no, to just comply when adults touched my private areas.

      You are an idiot and uneducated in anything beyond youtube and Wikipedia. ABA is backed by thousands of peer reviewed articles, multiple government agencies, and colleges provide masters and PhD programs in ABA.... and you are just some unknown guy on the internet. I think I will side with science and objective data over your unpopular opinion, thanks.
