    cool ideas. if i may
    i would build another skeleton thats the sane thickness but removable so it still fits in your truck. it would assure that your equipment doesnt drag in the snow cause your poles might get snow or ice and i would bet your skimmer is gonna get knocked off. but very impressive.

      I think going taller would work better, but I kept it as low as possible to keep under my tonneau cover but because I keep it light it doesn't do too bad through deeper snow.

    Absolutely loved the video! Nice meeting you today!
    What diameter PVC pipe did you use?
    What did you use for the 2" sides spoke about and added at the top of the sled edges?
    How to you keep the acrylic up off the floor of the sled?
    Can't see bolts holding skis coming up through sled when empty. How did you do that?
    Could you post a link to the auger attachment from amazon?
    Hope to see you again soon so I can take some more pictures. Thank you so much for this incredible build video! Thanks again!

      Great questions. I used 1 1/4" pvc. The sides I added we're with some treated 1x6 I ripped down then painted. I kept the acrylic off the ground with treated 1x4 supports underneath. The bolt heads that run through the bottom of the skies are coated over with the bed liner I rolled on the entire bottom of the sled. Here's the link to the clam plate auger attachment. www.amazon.com/dp/B014JWLDD2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CkL-FbBH9S5QB
      Thanks for the feed back hope you got some ideas and hope to see you on the ice.

      Self tapping screws and a washer thru the tub and into the pvc.

    How did you attach the pvc to the sled? Adhesive? Screws? Bolts?

    • @NaileditBuilds
      @NaileditBuilds  Před 2 lety

      Self tapping sheet metal screws with a flat washer through the sled into the pvc.

    Great video, good info. Was having trouble with what to do with ice tent and power auger. Going to take the basic design of the PVC frame and modify it to work here in Montana. I sometimes have to drag my sled over rough groung for a half mile to get to my favorite spots. I think your ideas will work.
