    Separated flow, turbulence, boundary layers in 12 mins? I wanted more! Still a great talk for the layman regardless. I can imagine how much technical knowledge he is holding back.

    I don't like this analogy because it says that the turbulence zone (aka the water in which food coloring is laminarly spewing into it) does not allow the opportunity for the food coloring to return to a laminar state. Chaos, order, chaos, more refined order, chaos, even more refined order, repeat. This is the duality of life, as explained by academics like Jordan peterson

    He is trying to cover huge complicated subject in 12 mins instead of focusing on something. Looks like he never seriously though about NS meaning or turbulence meaning. All pictures he uses and talk is more about CFD

    By making fuel consumption more efficient with regards to planes all you do is making flights cheaper thus making it accessible to more people, generating an even bigger pollution.

    All these NS equations can be visualized as a mountains and valleys which represent pressure and skier is skiing across them. The only real difference is which contributes to all complexity is that motion of skier can change profile of valleys and mountains which circularly impact skier motion. I mean of course only 2D version of NS.
