I drive a 2017 XT5. I love it. It's a little harsh and uncommonly loud for a luxury suv. But it's a Cadillac and I love it. FTR, if I were to get another suv of this size, it would definitely be an Audi. However, tbs, I would definitely not pass on upgrading to a XT6 or the Ecalade or maybe even the venerable CT6.

My biggest gripe, the ride is a bit too stiff and road impact harshness good be better. Coarse road surfaces brings on many interior buzzes, not a impression of luxury. I have actually been researching the Jaguar F-Pace.... which can be had with a Turbo4 or their new twincharged Inline6 for upcoming 2021 models. 2020 and before the supercharged V6 is available along with the Turbo4. No matter which engine option the F-Pace uses the acclaimed ZF-8speed tranny, used in so many euro offerings because of its relaibility and performance. Jag just updated their interior for 2021(model yet to be on the market) but even the current car on the market is nice inside. Dynamically I think the Jag would have a better sporty ride due to its rear wheel drive bias. Can't speak to prices, but slightly used low mile Jags have great depreciation so its not as expensive to obtain one as one may think. Also, the Jag is elegantly designed...good interior space and all. Grace, space & pace... old Jag motto.

Out of everything out there, I'd go XT4 or Team Telluride to be honest. When I looked at the XT5, I didn't see any benefits to spend the extra cash. I really wish the XT5 had more of the XT4 exterior styling too. If I wanted to double my debt, I'd go Denali and Escalade price ranges...but I don't want to lol

Its funny you mentioned the xt4 or telluride . We have our choice down to those two cars . Loved the xt4 but to expensive even after discounting the car 2200.00 plus another 1500 from Costco . . Also they were low balling my trade and they wouldnt really negotiate a better price . The Telluride gives you a lot more car for the money . It is much roomier more standard features in the higher trim levels and a better warranty . The also offered me 500 more for my trade than I asked for . I still think the xt4 is a nice car and probably would have bought it if the matched Kias offer on my trade . Going to give the Lincoln Corsair a look

    Another excellent review, Joe.
I might sound a bit rough, but I feel Cadillac is a worthless brand nowadays.
Lincoln does American luxury better, Chevy and Dodge do American performance better.
The last vehicles that I loved from Cadillac were the CTS-V coupe and wagon. Nowadays, I don’t associate the brand with anything in particular.

I don't really think that is an armrest at 14:40 of the video. I think it's hard and sturdy because it's really just a pulldown cupholder to secure drinks for the people in the backseat. I guess it could serve as an armrest but I don't think that is the intended purpose.
