    I slightly disagree.. once either of you attain your ILR status, the child born here qualifies for british citizenship. Its does require both parents to attain ILR before the child qualifies, one parent is enough

    2:11 If a child is born in the UK and one of the parent is either British Citizen or has ILR when the child was born, the child is automatically British and can apply for a British Passport. Both parents need not be having ILR.

    Are IHS fees added to the cost of applying for the visa? Especially from someone not in health and care?

      @drcissyatwine  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes if you're not in health and social care

    Hi, I was wondering if you/anyone knowledgeable on the subject could give me some advice/possibly some reassurement. I'm a UK national and I'm dating a Zimbabwean lady who is here on a Health and Care worker visa, we are thinking about having a child in the future. Ok so basically I have a bit of a worry that something will go wrong in the future and she would have to get removed from the UK - I'm aware I am overthinking the situation, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any reassuring thoughts? Thank you

      what's your worry exactly? if its about the child's nationality i think they are eligible to be a British citizen if one of the parents is.. you can confirm that from gov.uk

      Hi, thanks for your reply. I was concerned about the future possibility of my girlfriend being asked to leave the UK/deported. Have you ever heard of that happening to anyone who is here on a health and care worker visa? @@drcissyatwine

      I dont know about the student one but the health and social one is about 3 weeks... i know the funds needed for a student one is a lot higher than a work one.. please confirm at gov.uk
