That first jingle "Radio One National Radioooo" jingle was used at closedown after the Radio 1 midnight news summary had ended and was the first jingle played in the 5.55 jingle montage at start up on 1053 kHz / 285 m and 1089 kHz / 275 m MW.

That jingle package was still used up until 1986

While using resings of other JAM Creative packages. The Americans did not like the package as much, but it was heard on a handful of stations including the samples at the end of the package The stations were WLUM Milwaukee,, KSJL (now KTKR) San Antonio, WZKS (now WCJK) Nashville.

Correction some of the jingles were used up until 1987, like the news, travel and weather…but the whole package stopped being played in 1984 as Radio One had a new jingle package from Jam….
