What was the problem you were experiencing which resulted in changing this part. I have a 2011 Barbarian which sometimes will jump out of gear or stay on same gear and won’t change up. When these happen the display screen goes blank and doesn’t display any gear. I sometimes have to hold the lever in drive so it doesn’t jump out of gear. I have been told a full gearbox rebuild is the answer. Around £3000 costs.
How did you remove the clip from the body as I have a 2006 mitsubishi Triton 3.0 transmission inhibitor switch faulty and need to get it off and replace.. Have no room to get to switch clip
Any idea of part no. A I have 2007. Animal ? Want to buy one but they are asking for original part no. And ideally don't want to remove until have a new one. Or is the part number visible when on situ !!!? Thx.
Had my inhibitor switch adjusted couple of times but vehicle still give me trouble to go into drive...could it be that the part needs cleaning or do I need to purchase a new one ?

Hi mate, did you manage to get to the wiring harness without removing the front drive shaft?

@@Plasma118 thanks I finally managed to get to it. Couldn't get it up on ramps on the drive had to get in a pit and had it in 10mins!!
