It Let’s you ignore their shields on crit still hard to deal with them but if they are in hoards I can just chain stun everything with the light attack chain on the mk15 and still spam fury of the faithful because the armor is no longer stopping me from landing 15 crits per swing. I find I can solo hoards of maulers as long as I use fury’s stun strategically as well. Im thinking blood thirsty and perfect strike may let you chain one shot them through their shields.
Yo boss respect ya lots but feel this was a missed opportunity to give a shout-out to krak grenadas when ya mentioned taking em out from afar The magnetic effect with the shields is stupid levels of generous, seen absolute trash lobs turn 90 degrees before popping the bulwark/crusher tucked away behind the corner n whatnot If your average vet isn’t blind and can’t spot/mark a bulwark or two coming in or out in the distance, hell one loosely tossed krak will usually get 1-3+ depending on certain nodes boostin collateral even more I.e. longshot etc Since these guys are a massive pain in the dick it helps to stick one, focus on something else like the bomber/flamer rushing in, and end up completely safe as the fat boy blows up before even getting a chance to slug ya.
Dodge left or backwards for melee, never to the shield side. It’s super easy to dodge as the wind up is really long. Much harder when multiple of them though. Shot gun slugs open the shield. Fire shells burn straight through the shield - 2 shot to kill.
Oh, oh...! Talk about the Reaper next! Like how they can keep shooting you despite being to the side of or behind them and their barrel not even being pointed at you. It's probably server/latency shenanigans or maybe it just shares the same stupidity with the Bulwark shield blocking stuff it shouldn't.
The Magma Core Plasma Rifle just goes trough the shield completely ignoring it, one full charged shot to the head will usually result with bulwarks death, depending if it cries or not (I don’t remember), doesn’t matter if the BW will have his shield up or not, plus plasma staggers them as well if you charge up your shot, another plus is that shots go trough them, at least one more enemy will be hit (but I don’t remember if the same principle works on elite ogryn enemies :/) But yeah, very informative thanks for the vids
Bulwarks are a pretty big reason why Ogryn and Psyker become my favorite classes, rumbler ogryn and brain burst psyker make dealing with Bulwark much easier
He already said he wouldn't because he hates Ogryn. My best tips would be take both the +25 toughness nodes near the top, take bleed related talents for cleavers, power mauls and shields for certain, for 90% of builds always take all right side nodes to the middle bottom keystone possibly with replenish on push and the extra 2.5 toughness replenishment nodes thereafter. Don't take any wounds, just go double health with toughness curios or triple health if using +100% toughness replenishment when below 25% health.
Also you should aim for around 150 toughness as Ogryn either from talents, curio or curio perks. Otherwise take combat ability regen, stamina regen, block efficiency or gunner resistance depending on build. Health curios are more valuable overall as Ogryns get 2 to 3 times the value from them compared to other classes.
Don't stand in front of your teammates blocking with your shield and think you're contributing to the game. You can do that when someone needs to get a revive off in open area or when you've been a fool and triggered the demon host. Bleed is the only way to go with shield, cleaver and power maul and they have enough cleave to make the bleed related blessings worth it. Club has the least cleave.
Its obvious darktide reddit hates anyone that is good at the game and isnt 100% silent like chocob hell even he has tons of haters. Despite only showing successful high level gameplay and never speaking.
Look at it this way. Post a duo run on reddit you will get down voted flamed or just ignored. Post a 160p ultra low res phone picture of a garbage bricked weapon get 200 upvotes in a day
if an ENEMY gunner is behind a bulwark every time they shot their shoots go through the bulwark. HOW EVER it also staggers the bulwark which stops their attack so it puts them in an endless state of stagger
You forgot to mention if you do melee them its good to dodge to the left as they always do a right sided attack. Otherwise great video as always.
Yeah i kinda flubbed not mentioning that. I normally go backwards and weakspot hit them and kill them 2 seconds after. But the side is better

their shield is a bit unpredictable because its barrier hitbox does not always match its visual.
