- Welcome to my first of four videos recapping my trip to the 500+ table Sports Card Showcase that was held on May 4th and 5th of 2024. Thank you @brycebergen2676 for putting on such a big card show. The next show will be Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 of 2024 at the Washington Crown Center in Washington, PA.
This video shows three purchases that completed 50s and 60s Pirates team sets. I completed the 1954 Bowman, 1956 Topps, and 1963 Topps Pittsburgh Pirates team sets. The two big cards were the 1956 Topps Roberto Clemente and 1963 Topps Bob Bailey.
I upload a TTM video on Mondays, and I upload an autograph and/or trading card video on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Wow! Wow! Did I say wow? Dude you picked up the Clemente and the Bob Bailey rookie card??!! Plus finish the 54 Bowman set!! Dude, super cool congrats.!!!!
@@basementcardcollector I had a great day at the card show. I crushed it at The National too. I completed more Pirates team sets.
Lots of nice pick ups...56 set is one of my favorites 😊
@@puracesful It is a beautiful set.
Just picked up a 56 Clemente myself for 300. Sweet!
@@pmcgarry7849 Nice! It’s a pretty card.
5:11-The Clemente card predicted the future. The bridge is now his.
BTW-I drove on the Roberto Clemente Highway this morning in Newark,NJ.
@@rentslave I am not sure about the reference, so I need to read the back of that card. Thank you for the lead.
Fantastic pickups. Super additions to your collection. The Roberto Clemente card is fantastic. Big Congrats on getting the Bob Bailey RC. I don't know if those other 3 guys ever made the big leagues. Congrats and thanks for sharing.
@@AngryOldManTTM It’s funny because I would say to a couple dealers that I am looking g for the 1963 Bob Bailey rookie card, and they knew he was part of the quad card.
The Clemente card cost me a penny when I bought in 1956.
It's too bad that I threw it away in 1965(along with thousands of others) in 1965..
@@rentslave Oh no! That’s such a bummer.
The Clemente is sweet. Awesome buys
@@bubbazacsports293 Yeah I could not pass up that card.
Ooooh, good looking Max Alvis rookie! Good job finishing those team sets.
@@ReindeerStudios Haha the Bob Bailey rookie card rocks. That being said, if I can get one super cheap, maybe I will send it to Max Alvis.
I still have to get a bunch of these if I keep trying to build all my sets. I am just happy that I do not have to get them in as good of condition as these.
@@poormansstack I have been very picky with my 1960s Pirates team sets. I’m not as picky on condition with the 50s.
Great great stuff! That Clemente is a beauty! Congrats on getting some team sets complete. do you binder your team sets as well?
@@scootscollectibles Thank you. I completed some Pirates team sets at The National, but those videos are not scheduled for a couple weeks. I do not use binder. I put each card in a soft sleeve and toploader.
Congrats on finishing some more Pirates team sets. Love the Clemente and the Jenkins.
@@lynnkruse3231 I was pretty excited to get the Fergie Jenkins rookie card.
Wow lots of great cards Math congrats thanks for sharing this 😊
@@Cali_Collector75 Thank you. It’s so satisfying to complete team sets.
Sounds like you're feeling better in your voice 😊💯🙏
@@Cali_Collector75 Yes thank you.
Sweet Clemente
@@robertdocholliday66sadler Yeah I could not pass up that opportunity.
That Clemente is great!!
@@badgerz3804 Yes indeed. One of the few remaining Clemente cards is the 1969 Topps. I have a heck of a time finding one that is centered and in great shape.
@mathbowler2782 That is a tough set to get good centered copies. It's the first year I started collecting and have seen many through the years
Gl with the Fergie TTM . Clemente 💥 Oliva rc 🎉
@@adamscardcloset9020 I really did get some goodies on this trip.
That's a sharp looking Oliva rookie. Congratulations man! 😊
@@JoeMapes Haha yeah it’s sharp. Those vintage card dealers knew exactly what card I was talking about when I said I was looking for the 1963 Bob Bailey.
Awesome my friend and congratulations on 850 subscribers. Hope my shoutouts helped. Now on to 900
@@godisgreat8462 I really appreciate it. I have to admit that I didn’t realize that you were showing videos. I need to check that out immediately.
You going to work on getting that 1963 rookie card signed?
@@TonyBlack574 Nah my team set cards are to remain unsigned.
