- Fossil finding is always a blast at the beach, in the sunshine, on the Oregon Coast. We have a fun hunt through Miocene Era fossil bearing concretions to find some surprises. Watch as we break out the sledgehammer to take a look inside the concretions and, of course, have a look under the microscope at the fascinating fossils.

You were right on the pod, a ptetty narrow beach. I loved ALL the, text, insets and microscope fade ins. Now gor the rocks, whack it, smack it, bang it crack it. It's always a fun thing to do and sometimes you find a few things. Keep having fun. Woof to the doggies. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 😷⚒ Good luck with pups.🐕

It would be so incredible if that's some turtle. There's a guy that hunts here that has found turtles so it's not out of the question! Can't wait to get it looked at, I'll definitely post up an update. Thanks for watching!
That was fun, beautiful beach, and so interesting and exciting cutting into those concretions, there are so many fossils on the beach at Lake Ontario where I rockhound, but most are in hard grey stone haven’t figured out yet how to get into them, but I still can’t resist bringing them home😊❤️

It was such a good day, we've been having a string of them that makes me think we're getting San Diego weather up here in Oregon for some strange reason.
