Bye! ☀️
What a cool looking camper! I've been travelling Russia and Mongolia countryside with limited connection so it's so great to see your face again and such a cool video!
Thank you Joa! Great to see your face again too. Your channel is doing so well, congrats!! Russia travel must be amazing.. I'll have to catch up on some of your adventures so I can learn more about Van Life before we get on the road 😄
What a sweet ride! I've never seen an Airstream like that before.
Awesome, love the skylight too. Great!
I think that might be my favorite part too!
What a beautiful little family. Love the RV but more impressed with you guys.
Aww so sweet Lindy, thank you 😄
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Happy adventures with your lovely family.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it 😄I will have to vlog from the van more often.. once we get it out of the driveway!
Congrats guys, it's certainly gonna be an exciting future travelling in the New Mercedes Sprinter. Look forward some fabulous travel VLOGS.
Thank you! Yes vlogs are definitely coming! Florida will be great to explore and I'm sure we'll go well beyond that before too long 😄
This lady is cheerful like a happy teenager.
Sounds about right! 😀
Yeah, that is pretty cool! Nicely done!
Thank you!
We have a 6 month old and a small bumper pull camper. We fold down the dinette and put the pack and play on top. Works great
That's awesome! Glad you found a way to travel with your little one. We pretty much do the same in the van and then we sleep in the top bed.. It sort of works 😄
I think it's a beautiful camper van congratulations Sims very practical
Thanks Rodell! It's been working out great so far 😄
That is one of the sweetest rides yet factory ready. Yes Westfelia is impressive. Also, alot of Van people use those small travel bags that compact the clothes, but don't wrinkle. Wishing you all the best. happy travels. peace :)
Thank you! Funny, we're packing for our first trip out this weekend and I'm packing into those little bags instead of a suitcase 😄Definitely seems like they will work well! Peace ✌️
Last month we were vacationing at the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone when my son pointed out all the Sprinter RV's that were on the road. I wondered what they looked like inside, so thanks for the detailed tour.
Sure thing! That's cool he was so curious. My hubby watched so many van tour videos before deciding on this van so I know there are many more videos out there too 😃
"Happy Cybercamping!" I own your Westi's grandfather: a 1997 Airstream 190, on a Ford chassis. I've always been impressed with the Westi's interior height and space management, and the 190 also uses a rear bathroom: far better for space than all of those type B coaches with mid-body bathrooms.
What a good camper van you have ! Congrats! Your video is also very great!
Thank you!!
Welcome to vanlife. Best way to travel with kids in my opinion. Having a kitchen and bathroom on board makes it all worthwhile.
Thank you! Yes I think it will be fun with the little one 😍It must REALLY feel big to her.
What..i wasn't expecting the bathroom...this thing is awsome
Haha I know right! It somehow all fits
Westfalia is just the german company that does camper conversions. Originally they started with Volkswagen. I think Airstream is just the dealer, maybe for business reasons that some assembly happens in the U.S..
It's so weird right? It seems to us like Airstream is the 'designer' of sorts, Westfalia is the concept, and Sprinter is the van itself.. Although I don't know really. It's cool I know that!
@@AMAETV Westfalia designs and builds several campers including yours which is called the James Cook in Europe. Airstream imported 250 of these. They look very cool for families!
www.westfalia-mobil.com/en/news/2019_james_cook_gotha_engl.php
Interesting configuration, lots of space. We have a few vans and the high top is the easiest to live in
That's good to hear! I won't be able to compare it to anything else but it seems like a great setup 😄
That looks to be in pretty good shape for the age. I bet there will be a lot of new and exciting family adventures!
It definitely is! The guy who previously owned took great care of it and it didn't get out much 😄
Nice campervan, nice family 👍👍
She’s a queen. She’s really cute and looks really good with her husband. I hope these two have fun with their child.
Aww thanks so much Christopher 😄We do love life with our little girl ❤️
Tank you vidéo magnifique super
So glad you enjoyed it! 😃
In Europe it has been labeled as Westfalia James Cook. Yours is in a great condition.
With the following gen, the layout has changed. They haven't yet shown a James Cook on the newest Sprinter model.
Yes we've been hearing that! I wonder why everything is branded different in the US 🤔It's definitely in excellent condition, low miles too 👍🏼I'd be curious to see what the other layouts look like.
Actually, Westfalia is working on a new James Cook, based on the 2019 Sprinter right now. But I don't think, it will be available in the US.
Hi guys great rv or we say in the UK camper van we have one over here in the UK under 6m too great to drive great to park great on diesel too .Had lot bigger found them to be to big for our road and car park too ps and grate for wild camping too.👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚙🚙🚙
Yes it's definitely too big for a parking garage! I imagine they would be a bit big for roads in the UK too.. although I've never drove over there. We definitely want to do the wild camping!! 😃😃🏕
Simply AMAZING! I don't usually comment about people in videos but I just can't resist saying how lovely and cute you three are, Ella is the cutest ever and those cheeks ! God bless your little family and I wish you guys safe travels and all the best.
Awww thanks so much! Ella is our little sweetheart and we will definitely keep her a safe and happy traveler 😊 Take care!
Hi Brian and Alicia! We're the neighbors down the street that just bought a Mercedes to do a build out. Love your video. Looking forward to meeting you, sharing ideas, and adventure stories!
Hi Angie! Yay awesome! So glad you found the channel :) You'll definitely have to come see the van sometime. We so look forward to checking in on your van build as it comes along too!!
Stay safe out there in Florida .
We are another one of the #250 Westy Sprinters in the wild. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions: they are quite complex! Instagram is @wkndvanlife
That's awesome thanks so much!! We will definitely find you guys over on IG 😃😃
As someone who owns the longest airstream they ever made...I think these are so neat, and the freedom they give you is so cool!
Oh neat! How long is your Airstream? I wouldn't mind a few more feet on our van 😄
it's a 34 ft but it measures 35!
beautiful
Thank you!
Great campervan
Thanks Ruth!
Awesome 😎
Hi Alicia, we are Luca & Sara, an Italian couple traveling Americas with a truck camper. We would like to meet you guys. We are in L.A. area right now, are you traveling around? Please let us know. Thank you
😉
Hi Luca & Sara! Nice to meet you 😄 We spent a large amount of time in Napoli before we moved to Florida. We are not traveling around at the moment.. but if you're ever in the panhandle of Florida let us know!
What a happy beautiful wife , hubby looks tired 😴 , how much for this micro bus 🚌? Remember to seal the paint with Meguiars Ultimate Fast Finish, makes the pain Super Slick . Your next purchase will be a 45 Foot Liberty Coach , my Wife and I are going to the Bellagio and getting the Penthouse Suite . 🧜🏼♀️🌟
No way, we prefer mobility. We can drive it into the wilderness if we want.. or park anywhere in a city. The fast finish sounds like a good idea 👍🏼
Oooh what a lovely van . A Westie hahahah
Thanks Ploppy! Yep Westie is his name 😄
U guys rock.....
Thanks Marcus! We try to rock as much as possible 😄
I still can't believe this thing is in my driveway! Have any of you traveled in a camper van or RV? I'd love to hear your tips for #vanlife 😄
AMaeTV this is exactly what I’ve want. Not a fan of new camper van layouts. This looks like a design from the 90’s airstream camper van. I am also tall. I’m in love!!!! Enjoy and safe travels.
Yes, we are living and traveling on a truck camper since 14 months. We traveled all Canada, Alaska and US now. You will love it! welcome to VANLIFE 😀
I am a full time vandweller. Are you going to be boondocking or park camping. If your going to be boondocking. I recommend getting solar setup installed. I have solar on my van it's opens so many more opportunities to see out of the way places.
Hey Charlie, we are full timers too. Do you do any video or vlog?
LeAw Leave Everything and Wander, I don't. I have some close friends that are vandwellers. They vlog and have you tube channels. It seems to take up a lot of their time. I'd rather be looking a the beauty through my eyes and enjoying my time. Not seeing it through a lens and spending hours editing. It's just not for me.
I was wrong about the KOA Camp Grounds. I just called my local KOA and the best you can get for a travel pack is a Card that get's you 10% off. The good part about KOA is they have showers, pools and playgrounds for kids. Not to mention a store. At this one they want $60 a night just for a lot weather it's a tent or camper.
Yikes that's a lot.. I know some RV sites in beachfront type areas can be well over $100 a night! The amenities are nice though.
So were is the space to live in? Ya you now have head room but no where to live.
watch altitude with childrens ears. enjoy!
Good tip, thanks Rick!
Can't resist to comment that: with three words, total permutation would be 6 different combinations (3 factorial), not 9. But nice camper van!
You two are “torquey!”🤷🏻♂️🍺🔥
😆I still don't even know what tourqey means
Cool but one of Airstreams Class C RV's would give you much more living space.though granted probably more expensive.
Yep, and we'd have to buy something to pull it.. would be neat though!
Gas or Diesel?
Diesel!
Me, my brother and mother & father lived in a 21 ft Air stream from when I was 13 1/2 tell I was 15 1/2. Plus we did a lot of camping Vacations when I was growing up. We never moved the Air Stream and set it up on a Logging Road on my sisters property. I loved it there. It was the best 2 years of my life. Before you showed the swivel seats I was going to suggest you get some. They really add room to a Van. I've traveled and lived in Cars. (I Had 3 Vans Too.) Well.......I had a tent in my trunk as well as a Coleman Stove and a bag I called, my Grub bag because I kept all my cooking and eating things in that. Motel prices are way to high. It's even hard to find places to camp for free. I guess I can suggest one thing. Make two 2x6's with a tapered end to drive up on for one side of the van for parking on streets with gutters. Your tires on the gutter side are lower than the tires on the street side. That way you can level the van when parked on a street. Then you can cook in a fry pan without all the oil & eggs running to one side in the pan. Parking at Wal-Mart parking lots is ok if you can stand the sound of cars driving by all night. If there's a street behind Wal-Mart you might sleep there instead.
Wow that's neat! You definitely have some Airstream/ van living experience. Great tips with the boards, that's a project Brian would jump on right away. I didn't know adding swivel seats was an option if we didn't have them already.. glad we do though! Yes Brian did say Wal-Mart was super noisy. Hopefully we can do some real country camping soon!
Not every van has swivel seats. I hate camping in Vans that don't have Pop Tops of some kind. You need to stand up to get dressed and everything else. I didn't see any room in yours for a wood stove either. Wood heat is the best heating systems there are. You'll find it takes a lot of money to stay warm. It's hard to find free camping in the woods to. I added up how much camp grounds come to and it's over $600.. K.O.A. camp Grounds are $450 or there a bouts. But it comes with Electrical hook-up and free dumping. Plus I think you pay the one month fee then travel from K.O.A. to K.O.A. to K.O.A. and your rents already paid. I think it's like joining a Club. You'll find that Y.M.C.A.'s are good places to shower
We have one of these vehicles in which we have traveled from Newfoundland to Alaska and Florida to California over the past 7 years. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Do you not have the safety net for the bed? Since your baby likes it so much up there, you might want to utilize that. BTW, Airstream did NOT design this vehicle, they only imported it to the US and did some minor modifications for this market. Westfalia should get ALL the credit for the fantastic design. I hope you enjoy your vehicle as much as we have ours. You will find all the other Westfalia-Sprinter owners fun and helpful.
Thanks Leslie! Yes we’ve found the community of ‘Westy’ owners to be pretty awesome so far. We do have the safety net, but now that Ella is 15 months I’m so afraid she’d pull it right down and fall over it. She’s strong enough but still doesn’t have enough sense not to fall.. at least I think! Hopefully in another year she can sleep peacefully in her little bed :) That’s good to know that it wasn’t Airstream doing all the work! Interesting they got the most prominent branding on the vehicle.. well, we love it no matter what it is ☺️☺️☺️ Happy travels!
It's a James Cook Westfalia!
This dude is lit
😆He's a military man so not quite
Why would you ever go from an airstream trailer to this van? We met a couple up at mt rainier who bought one of these. They financed it for 20 years! Can you imagine paying for a vehicle for 20 years?
We never had an Airstream trailer, we just stayed in an Airbnb one. We could barely stand up in it plus if we bought any type of trailer we'd have to also buy something to tow it. Would have made sense if we already owned a truck like that but since we don't this van is perfect!
AMaeTV ok thanks. I remember seeing you with the trailer. We went to Alaska and the Yukon from Oregon in our chysler town and country.
Because it has a total length of 18.5'? If you have to ask, you indeed are probably better off tied to a 40' 5th wheel.
Why would you finance an RV, Boat, small aircraft for 20 years? Because at sub 5% interest rates you are better off placing your money easily to yield more, maybe?
You seem generally quite dense.
Did not even know that Airstream even sold a motorhome! Take Care
I didn't either until recently! It's super rare for Airstream 😄
My head is spinning! It might explode.
Yikes! I hope it survives
你好,这台车多少钱?
Correction: Parking Brake not E-Brake
你好!这台车多少钱?
It's beautiful ... enjoy! 🇬🇧🇬🇧... I can't wait to get my small van.. saw the Airstream caravan trailer in UK ... 💋
Thank you!! We researched and dreamed about which van to get for a long time too.. anything by Airstream should be great. Hope you get it soon!
waaoooooo
Its a James Cook Westfalia?
It seems that it is! Except it's not branded as that in the US.. same thing though from what I understand.
Unfortunately, it's now just branding. Airstream, as the retailer, demanded some significant changes. Instead of a cassette toilet, they put in a black water tank. They added a generator and a strange 12V A/C unit. Also, the great Truma hot water heater was replaced by a US unit, where you have to get out of the van to start that thing. And they added a propane tank. The James Cook has just bottles. The funniest thing however is an EXIT sign, showing you the way out of the van, just in case you get lost :-)
Thanks for sharing this great video on this nice looking camper.
Looks like you be hitting the payment soon.
Yes!! I think you mean the pavement.. haha although we'll be making the payments soon too 😆
AMaeTV haha 😂 oh my bad.
I sure wish you all happy travels.
As an prior owner of a 1990 VW Westy, this is way too expensive for what you are getting. Just because of the MBZ chassis.
There is a great variety of really great camper vans available in Europe but the US government won't let the in the US due to their nonsense regulations on import vehicles.
Yes it sounds like the selection in Europe is much bigger.. oh well! We love ours 😄
Dieter Preiser Do you know if there are any way around the import laws, like paying extra taxes to ship a camper to the us?
way to be! :) m.
husband mumbles a lot and needs to speak up. you did a good job, look great on camera. not sure I want this or the VW. it is all about cost and layout.
I need to have a mic on both him and I.. better sound quality for both!
That one is called a Westfalia James Cook in Europe
Yes it is! So weird that is has a completely different name over there.
buzzzz boooozzzzzz balllzzzzzz-----hehehehe good video --nice van
Beb make a trip on budhapest
Husband talked about the specs of the engine and the wife was like ...well, it's very tall
Haha yep! That's pretty much where my observations lie 😄
Husband is a hottie
Haha yes he is, thanks!!
what a blurry camera
Fantastic vid. You're child is adorable. Please lose the pacifier/dummy in her mouth. It will only help her! Trust me.
Lol thanks! Please lose the Charles Manson profile pic and we'll talk 😆
