What are the chances! Regards
done it many times its a great day out for sure with some food to be had at Tanhill inn
Drove this in a BMW Mini Cooper s a few years ago. I was camping with my son in Hawes. Not a very long road really, but quite spectacular. It was raining like it only could in North Yorkshire so we drove accordingly. A tandem riding couple stood out. Back to the Wensleydale Pantry for a meal to finish the day off.
It’s a nice road of the weather is keen.
I’m reading a book set in this area & thought I’d have a look at the scenery as a character has just driven this.
It’s a good video, but it would of been nice to see more of the countryside rather than just WHIZZING roadway 🫣
maybe cameras at other POV’s?
But thanks for taking the time to do it, was still great to put a real view to written words. 🚙
It’s difficult to show views when you drive in a group as I don’t get time to stop. I hope you’re enjoy our book. Regards
Amazing road, what time of year did you visit?
well done :)
Thanks
👍👍😎😎
I did this in my A35 and it scared the life outta me 😅
Haha, I loved it. Definitely adrenaline rush.
Drove to fast to enjoy the views and for the safety of other road users, cyclist ,walkers and sheep
Completely disagree. At no point I was driving in a risky manner or broke speed limit.
racing circuit
It’s a great road
I understand that this is a super road, I myself am a fan of such roads, I regard these roads as a racing track or a rally extra, but oh I'm from Russia, we only have such roads in the Urals or the Caucasus, only with not very good asphalt in places🤭😊
@@user-qz8sv7fp1q I hope you have some good roads where you live.
In my region there are similar roads, but not as long as in England, especially in your north. France has excellent roads, especially in rural areas ..
You wanna slow down pal, you can't see around corners.
I felt comfortable with a margin of safety. I never don’t put myself and others by taking a risk if I’m not confident.
The driver may have a different view of the road ahead vs the camera on the dash and may be able to see further around the corners, over the stone walls. I was there this month. But, on the road that is Buttertub Pass, it was very foggy. This was very clear in comparison. At least I was the only one of a few others. I captured the drive, see the channel: The Cat's Eye.
Nice video, MDrives. I enjoyed it, and was nice to see what I missed because of the fog.
@@Spenny909 thanks. I think you’re correct. Very often camera won’t catch what driver sees. I’ll check your video later!
@@MDrives The speed you went past that sheep at @3:19 had no margin of safety at all. Not smart. Respect the local area.
@@rickparkinmoto hi. It was about 35-40mph. Regards
You're driving too fast. Animals tend to step onto the road up there.
I did stick to the legal limits but I get your point. Valid advice 👍🏻
Just done this road today as it was on my bucket list. I did it from Hawes to Thwaite and I must say I wasn't disappointed. The b6270 going towards Richmond was a nice find as well.
Great. I’m not surprised you enjoyed it. It’s a great road to just enjoy driving. Regards 👋
