Nice work! I am a huge fan of the Wavetrac since fitted to my Golf R. We now have turn in and power out of corners where previously the open diff had run out of ideas.

@@Largeone1968 It isn't the power, its what you use the car for. I use mine for sprints and hillclimbs and some of those tracks are very tight so getting the power down on exit is vital. In normal road driving I doubt it would be necessary or noticeable.

Thanks Steve! Great to hear you’re loving it! @largeone1968 - it’s about driving dynamics really, the MK7R is predominantly FWD and the electrically managed 4WD system can only do so much.
So a mechanical diff is a great way to improve the car!

Hi , I just got one are you able to please tell me if there is a particular size of shim set that are used when installed on w204 C 63 …. Also once fitted is it a normal thing for them to make a little noise on turns

The backlash should always be measured before removing the original differential, then measured once the Wavetrac is installed and then adjusted if required. There is no -particular size' of shim that will work, until the adjustment required (if any) is known.
An installer like ourselves has these shims pre-ground in various sizes, ready for pretty much any setup requirement.

Not sure of the specific quantity on this specific car, best to consult the manufacturer guidance for the fill instructions, and fill as specified

It doesn't eliminate wheel spin, it maximises the use of the traction at the tyres. Traction control tries to stop wheel slip after it happens by engaging the brakes or reducing power output.
