LOVE, LIGHT and BLESSINGS 🙏🏾
I love that I'm seeing a South African talking about growing their hair. When i talk about hair growth a lot of my South African friends think that achieving long hair is more possible if you are of sub saharan, west african descent. When it really mostly has to do with how you take care of your hair
Thank you for such a beautiful message, I couldn’t agree more. We are ALL more than capable to reach our hair goals. I often say, that even we don’t know the true potential of our hair - it is limitless ❤️💃🏽🔥🥰🥂
Can we pause for a moment and talk about your skin ❤❤❤❤❤
You’re too kind 🤍🙏🏾 Thank you beautiful
This was such an easy to understand, simplified and insightful video which I think was very necessary. I’ve struggled with my hair being at the same length for over 5+years now and I think most of it has been attributed to breakage. I now want to reinvest time and care into my hair and see if I can retain length. My Hair goal is to reach Waist length and I’ll be a Happy girl 🤞🏾🤞🏾.
Oh Beautiful ☺️🥹 Thank you so much for this, I’m so happy that it resonated especially because these tips work. I’m excited to hear from you again, telling me about your waist length hair 🥰 Waist length and beyond🥂
I’m proud of you for not giving up on your hair, sometimes it’s not easy but this year I trust that it will all be worth it for you 🎊 🌺🌸
I love your hair, your teaching are explicit, your approach is assuring and feedbacks to your followers are encouraging. I'd always loved my natural hair though it's not growing the way I wanted. Anytime I complain about it, the response I usually get is what do you want to do with long hair at 48. It will be a thing of joy for me, if you can help me through this challenge. I'm ready to follow and obey your instructions. Thank God I found you and your channel. God bless you.

I went to my doctor and got blood work done and had to start taking vitamin B12 and my hair started growing in areas that were balding for years!! I wish I knew I was deficient years ago 🤦🏾♀🤦🏾♀
I got blood work done last year as well, and I had no idea I needed more iron. 🤯 It’s so underrated to get this checked out but it can really make a huge difference in a lot of the issues we experience.
Either way, we’ll done to you! 💃🏽❤️ Rather now than never. 🥹
Happy to hear your hair has taken off. Do you mind sharing exactly which b12 you take?

Lol thank you hun 🫶🏽 I’ll be working on it😅 Just for you 💕
Ever since I’ve become natural 5 years ago I love putting my hair on protective styles especially on the winter seasons . I wash my hair and put it up for 1 week until I wash it again and do the same thing .. in the summer time I love to wash my hair and put oils and put my hair up in a bun that’s my other protective style looks chic and clean . I love it because it’s very simple but chic at the same time 😊 I don’t ever straighten my hair
You seem to be enjoying your hair and I love that you’re happy with it. There’s nothing better that truly appreciating every step of the journey. Big well done to you! 👏🏾💕 Please be careful of over manipulation 🙏🏾
@@zinhle.africa what does that mean ? Over manipulation ? Can you pls explain ?😊
@@martasalvi8152 Over manipulating your hair is when you're constantly touching your hair without giving it an opportunity to breathe. An example of this is constantly combing and styling your hair. As Zinhle said, it stresses your hair which eventually leads to breakage so the less you manipulate your hair, the better.
@@sae_chim110 thank you so much for explaining ☺️ am new to this hair journey and am learning . Many times I pit my on protective styling for the week until wash day . I play my hair and leave it alone I put oils like coconut oil castor rosemary oil .. and recently I started to put wild growth oils . I must say it’s very good and my hair seems to love it 😃 normally am a curly hair girl so I love wash and goes .. I never straighten my hair every since natural it’s coming to 5 years now PRAISE GOD 🙏😃 so thank you for that explanation 😃 much appreciated 🙏
so educative am currently on my journey to rapunzel 😂😂😂
Thank you hun ❤️ We are together in this thing 🥰💃🏽 It’s going to be so good!
Me too! good luck. gonna try cornrowing my hair every month to see if anything changes. mines been stuck at the same length for over a decade
GORGEOUS skin Sis! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🖤

Girl that’s me I’m stuck at my current length rn and I just wanna bawl my eyes out 😭😭😭
I’m so sorry hun but I made this video for people in your situation because I know exactly how it feels like. These solutions really work so no more tears 🤍🙏🏾🌸💕💗
My hair is stuck tooo!!!! Stuck 1in before bra length. Same length for 2 years i'm going nuts! People say 'oh your hair is long '---nah it isnt its not long enough!!! I put it in crochet braid for 9 weeks.. i could see it had grown - but it hadn't at least i don't think so now and its finer now too! its extraordinary! My hair cabinet is like a medicine chest ! I'm mentally exhausted ! Now i will listen to your video! to see if i can glean any information i'm not aware of!
Hey hun💗 I’m sorry about that and I can totally relate, I really went through the same situation and I understand all the emotions. This video is exactly what you need and also please simplify your routine and products, you don’t need a lot to see good results and progress.
Remember that most of the work is already done for you, you just need to moisturise and keep those ends protected 🥰❤️
@@zinhle.africa ahh that’s true - thanks !
Been waiting for a video like this☺️Being on my natural hair journey now I just want to get my hair healthy again. For the longest time I didn't feel like my hair was really growing after getting a haircut at a salon it was short for so long before I started seeing growth again. My wish is to be confident in my hair when I'm out in public so I can walk proudly❤️
Yeah I totally understand, and it’s not always easy to see our hair’s progress because of all the shrinkage but keep going and be kind to yourself ❤️💃🏽The early stages can be tricky because success comes with trial and error but the confidence will definitely kick in. Like it or not, you’re absolutely gorgeous already and that’s on BIG PERIOD! 🥰❤️🔥🥹💗💕
Thanks for this Zinhle; we spoke briefly via TT DM. Just cant wait for my hair to be long enough to plait/protect it🌸
Thanks for watching hun 💗 Keep being excited and watch how beautifully your hair will continue to respond to you. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to see it 🥹💗💕🫶🏽 Keep going! 🌸
Great video, from my experience I started using about 3 weeks now. Red and yellow Onion juices, Cloves rosemary, cinnamon and oils mixed Castor oil, Almond oil, coconut oil. I have seen hair growth and also I don’t loose as much hair when I combing my hair out. I also use flaxseed once a week on my hair I am loving the results of my hair it’s more healthier so am very happy with my results.
I’m so proud of you 👏🏾 You’re using natural ingredients and paying attention to what your hair loves 💗🌸💕 You have a winning recipe!!! Keep going 🥂 A lot of the ingredients you’re using are some of my favourites 🫶🏽
That was the simplest video I've watched on CZcams about natural hair. How to deal with dryness coz my hair never seems to be moisturized for long. Thank you 😊
I have no words 🥹🙏🏾 Thank you for such a kind message, I appreciate you beyond…💗💕 Thanks for that suggestion, I’ll be working on a video that helps with that 🫶🏽🌺🤍

Excellent tips! Sometimes we need a reminder about these great, top hair practices!
Thank you hun 🤍 I appreciate that 🙏🏾 Blessings
Thank you so much sis Zinhle!
My Afro is almost at shoulder length. I am going to implement your advice from today and get it to the shoulder and beyond by December! 💃🏾
Please advise on why we need protective hairstyles in winter? Does winter adversely affect Afros or is it a marketing ploy? I would really appreciate your Afro wisdom on this.
Thank you so much for teaching us about our hair. If you ever open a salon, I would be a loyal client!
Love, light and blessings 💫
Hey hun, already I love your attitude so much 💃🏽❤️ It goes a long way and I can only imagine how much your hair appreciates you.
Thank you for asking such crucial questions and I’ll definitely be making a video on this, stay tuned 🤍☺️ Also thank you for your support, it actually means the world to me 🌍 💕 Please keep going, continue to love your hair, I can’t wait to see the progress one day 💐🥂 Lots of blessings to you 🙏🏾
My hair was actually long but it was stuck also. I think it’s growing now because I have started using aloe vera Daily, I have learned how to de-tangle my hair better, and I have started using rice water on wash day. By the way rice water and aloe vera are great natural detanglers for the hair.
I love that ❤️ When we don’t see our hair progressing in the way that we want it to; we’re always one or two solutions away from fixing the issues. I’m happy to hear that you’re happy with your hair ❤️💃🏽 I haven’t used much aloe vera in my hair but rice water has helped reduce shedding in the past 👌🏾
I started the video wondering what was on your head . I thought it was a traditional headpiece
But your video was very informative ❤❤
Thanks for watching hun ❤️ I’m currently on a hair growth challenge through long term protective hairstyling (I’ll be posting about it very soon). That’s why I’ve been wearing a lot different kinds of headwraps 🌸
I’ve been growing my hair for 7 years now and I’ve experienced stagnancy for the past 2 years. Thank you 🙏
A natural hair journey is not always easy but it’s definitely worth it, don’t give up. 🌸 Stagnation happens but when we know better we do better. ☺️ I hope you implement these tips and start to see progress 🤍🙏🏾

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You’re so sweet ☺️
I chopped all my hair off to about 1/4 of an inch, back in 2015, and over these 9 years, I haven't had as much growth as I thought I should have. I wore wigs constantly in the first 3 years. Year 4, I finally got about 4 inches of hair, so I started with constant hair extensions. Here we are in 2024, and I have 7 inches of hair. What happened???? Now I'm loc'd I'll see what happens. Maybe my growth will accelerate.
All this time, your hair wanted to fully embraced as it was, as much as you had and have the capacity to do so. Finally your intuition led you to make a shift and loc it because the hair would have a greater chance to be embraced in its natural state without being covered or intertwined with anything else.
Natural hair is spiritual and it loves to interact with nature. This is yet another example of that and it’s something I’ll always be explaining and dissecting in future videos. I hope you understand the gist of my response 🤍🙏🏾
Hair does not grow faster with locs.
With locs, your hair will grow at its usual natural rate of growth. However, you should expect to RETAIN the length that grows by the locking of your usual natural hair growth.
i love how you tied your head scarf! do you have a tutorial for that?
Hey hun, thank you 💗💕please watch the video above this one, the tutorial for this one is included there 🫶🏽

Facing stagnation over 2 years now. I just can't determine why. I try to keep it simple but I don't know
If you feel like you’re doing everything right and nothing is working please go for a checkup and ask your doctor.
In the meantime may I ask what products you’re using, how often do you moisturise and how often do you protective style?

wow my sister, I'm so glad I came across with your video❤❤❤❤, I have a problem with hair breakage, i even stayed for 5 months with my hairstyle but still, they came out even more, hopefully this will help me coz I'm tied😭😭
Hey Sbahle ❤️ The good news is that you are on the right track - there’s nothing wrong with keeping a protective style in for 5 months (as long as it isn’t tight or heavy). Hair shedding is normal but if you feel like it was too much hair coming out then there were errors in your product or routine.
I suspect that your main issue is moisture (moisturise more often, with the right products). Please watch my protective style challenge video for more info:
czcams.com/video/1a7425AvLu8/video.html
I've been natural for 11yrs, but my hair has been stagnant for over 5yrs
I’m so sorry about that 🥺 to a certain extent it’s not your fault, you just need a heighten awareness. Products and routine are important but I often say that natural hair is spiritual and it’s a lifestyle. On a personal intimate level there’s something that needs to be unlocked - remember our hair is a reflection of our wins and where we’re lacking. I hope this makes sense 🤍🙏🏾
@@zinhle.africa makes so much sense, thank you. I battle with inconsistencies a lot,I guess dats d problem
In 2020 my mom used to take care of my hair and it was healthy but then i relaxed my hair 4 times in 2022 and also used a lot of heat but then i stopped all that and started taking care of my hair and 2 years now i noticed my hair become more shorter but thick without length i need help💔 i understand everything but i do take care of my ends every night and yes MOISTURIZE ofc but still no results 2 years a waste
Hey hun, I hear you - there’s always a simple solution still. When was your last trim? How often do you change hairstyles and what are those hairstyles usually?
Also in those past 2 years, how was your mental, physical and spiritual health? because those are important components as well ❤️🫶🏽
I Have A Question.
Firstly,
6:10, 9:01 thank you for your explanations so far.
i discovered in May this year that my hair loves alovera...so i began using it every week until July...i wasn't consistent in August. But i decided to be serious again this September.
❓Do you recommend that i increase it to twice weekly?
I Eat very healthy, exercise weekly, but i need to work on moisturizing my ends with thick butters, and moisturizing weekly...
I always put my hair in protective styles of medium sized twists, but i really need to work on ALWAYS Tucking my hair in while it's twisted.
And ALWAYS wearing bonnets.
Thank you so much
Mmmh very informative ❤
Thank you beautiful 🤍🙏🏾
How long did it take you to grow it down to your back???????? I would love an answer 🥺
Isn't she beautiful
Thank you gorgeous 💗💕🌸
My biggest issue is finding long term protective styles that don’t include weave or wigs. Do you have any recommendations. When I do mini twist on 4c hair within 2 weeks start to look like dreads.
Hey hun, I can totally relate - my hair absolutely hates mini twists as well 🫣 braids work so much better for me. Just for this comment that’s my recommendation but I’ll make a more detailed video on this hopefully next week. 🙏🏾
I do medium to mini twist and retwist after two weeks it works better for me ( my hair type is 4c and little bit 4b) you can try this method ( from indigenous strands)😊
@@hadijaomary9688 Indigenous Strands is hair goals!
Am struggling with the same issue breakage it's killing me
Hey, I’m sorry about that 😕 but this video is going to help a lot if you’re consistent with the tips. ❤️🙏🏾 When we know better, we can do better.
Can you share products that you uses please. I'm just starting my natural hair journey
Will do hun 💕 Stay tuned for future videos
Thank you 💕
Thank you for watching beautiful 💗💕🌸
Woow new sub here
Welcome home beautiful 🫶🏽💕💗
The length.
Thanks hun 🥹🤭🫶🏽
@@zinhle.africa it was scratching my brain sorry🤭🤗
thank you :)
Absolutely a pleasure 💗 Thanks for watching 💕🙏🏾
Would using African yarn to make twists be a good idea for a protective style and retaining length?
My concern is if it will be possible to wash and deep condition in that style, if you were to keep it for longer than a month.
However, it’s definitely a beautiful style, especially when kept for a short period of time.
How well it retains length will be dependent on how well the ends will be protected
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️ I appreciate you
Went natural again in 2019 but went through heat damage in 2020-21. So I lost a lot of length but my hair is thicker and healthier. Except I feel like it’s been stagnant for a while and maybe I should’ve cut it all off after the damage.
Hey hun, it’s not always easy when we face challenges but I admire your resilience because even after all that you’re still committed to your natural hair journey 💗 If there aren’t any straight pieces then the issue isn’t heat damage. I believe that the solutions in this video will help your situations, please give it a try 🌸💗💕
I struggle with split ends, even when i regularly get trims 😢
There’s nothing wrong with your hair, it’s just extremely dry - hydrate, moisturise and seal with the right oils and more often. Stay tuned, I’ll be doing a moisture video soon.🤍🙏🏾

Please use the tips in this video and if you can please join the hair growth challenge. It will help your hair recover and get it back to its healthiest: czcams.com/video/1a7425AvLu8/video.html
So is it that we shouldn't use combs on your hair anymore? and also, how often in a week should one moisturize? I ask this because i use avocado butter and clove water as my hair products and i think i overmanipulate.
Whether you use combs or not is up to how your hair responds to them, what technique is used and what you prefer. I would advise you to experiment with both and see what works for you. Mostly finger detangling and then combining towards the end of the detangled section is a good place to start. 🤍🙏🏾 I’ll do my best to post a more detailed video on this very soon
how often can i moistirise my hair.? and do i use oil/grease to seal in the moistire every time i moistirise. my ends are getting thin but my hair is growing. i eat healty, drink alot and do sports.i wash every 2week(sometimes with appel cider vinegar ),started with hotoil treatment once per month. i use herb tea for my moisture. i will start using coffee for my shed hair. plse answer on the moistire with sealing question. thank you
Hey hun, firstly yes always seal with an oil. How often you moisturise depends on when your hair needs it (moisturise just before it gets dry). Your ends need more attention, always put more product on them for extra protection. I’ll be making a more detailed moisturising video soon. Stay tuned ❤️
@@zinhle.africa thank you. my ends are crucible even i moisture them often en protect them. rest of my hair is normal
Please how can one eradicate lice and nits from hair totally..
Prioritise the use of oils in your hair, the lice and nits have a hard time holding onto the hair strand when it’s well lubricated. Do hot oil treatments and seal with oils when you moisturise, but wash the hair more regularly (with a lice comb) to get them completely out)
This is what I have always known to be the solution but I’ve never put it to the test, please let me know how it goes.
@@zinhle.africa thank u so much🥰,...
But, what kind of oils and a type of comb...
G to the chemist 😂😂😂😂
Bentonite clay Moroccan clay

Enkosi Sthandwa 🤍💗💕
Each time I plate or weave my hair I discover that when I lose it i experience a lot of breakage, what do i do about it
I’m getting a lot of comments similar to yours so I’ll be doing a full video on this but for now what I can advise is that you prioritise moisture - are you happy with your products? and how often are moisturising?
Thank you
My is not going
Sorry hun 💗 That means this video is meant for you, please use these solutions and you’ll see progress in your hair again ☺️💕🌸
How often do you trim your hair?
Every 6 months usually works best for me but it’s more like dusting
Does cutting splitends work? How do you see a splitend?
It definitely works to maintain the integrity of the hair, I’ll be doing a trim after I take my current hairstyle out and explain everything in that video ❤️.
Split ends usually make the hair rough and difficult at the ends, that’s how you know they are there
Girl did you plagiarise this video from @greenbeauty
Respectfully no. My videos are based on my experience in my 9 years of having natural hair, as well as the research that I continue to do on African / black hair and hair in general. Not to mention my hairstylist background. Blessings 🤍🙏🏾
