    Ms Osbourne is a good Coach and worked well with Elaine during their 2-3 month union. However she has not proven herself to navigate an entire season with such an Elite Athlete! Yet she and her representative wanted 15% of what they thought was Elaine's PUMA earnings/deal per year. A deal that was existed BEFORE she came along and had no part in establishing. How is that fair?

    I can't imagine how all this lack of stability is impacting Elaine. It can't be good. Raw talent alone is not going to work. I love her and I am always rooting for her, but it seems she doesn't have a solid team around her.

    The Public at large did not know her name UNTIL her association with Thompson-Herah at the latter part of the 2023 season. She should have asked for a reasonable salary +bonus deal structure, (which Mr Herah was trying to cement) then trained ETH to a great 2024 season! That would have opened the floodgates with offers from Sponsors, athletes wanting to be coached by her, establishing herself as an Elite Coach. But Ms Osbourne and her inexperienced representative was shine eyed into Elaines pockets/established deal with PUMA/ $$ overreached, and fumbled the bag!

  • @jamminwiththerichards6442
    @jamminwiththerichards6442 Před 9 měsíci +20

    People need to be fair! If there’s any truth to what Mr. Herah is saying, this asking fee is too much if this new coach is just doing maintenance work for Elaine. He did say Elaine’s contract from her sponsor had no coach tied to it, so how in God’s name you want to negotiate a contract with excess of over a 100 million ja dollars as base. It would definitely work if the base was lower and bonuses tied to Elaine’s performance. She would definitely end up getting more, as the motivation would definitely be higher for her as a coach. I must be the first to say that I judged Mr. Herah without even listening to him say his side over the years. You would be basically giving away Elaine’s hard earned money if you had agreed to the proposed contract. Stick to your guns and get the best value for your wife and the legacy and story she is still writing. I also think this too is a distraction for Elaine’s physical and mental health so the less drama is better for her. Mr Herah also might be doing too much and needs help. You can’t do it alone sir. Seek help if you need to and pay for it, but don’t throw away money like that because people say this or that. Elaine is most times misunderstood as she is very introverted, and may come off as rude and dismissive, but I can assure you she’s not so please people, give them a break.

      @onemanagainsttheworld1630 Před 9 měsíci +2

      The coach has nothing to do with the signing of Elaines contract that's on her. Elaine needs to figure out a way to pay her coach and not on the cheapy.

  • @theinvestmentcorner4914
    @theinvestmentcorner4914 Před 9 měsíci +7

    I think Elaine team is right on this one. I think what her team was proposing makes sense if the coach think she could add the type of value that got Elaine that contract that she is trying to get a set percentage of she wouldn’t have a problem working for a base and bonus of Elaine future winnings and future contract earnings while she is the coach. Mr. Herah I’m with you on this one. Sensible business move. Imagine joining a company as the CEO, you haven’t proven or accomplished anything with said company as yet but you want a percentage of the profits the company made before you got there. In no world of business that makes sense. You get a salary and bonus on performance under your leadership/tenure.

    As a former athlete in the States, coaches fees are normally 5-10%. In this situation Mr. Frances should be attributed for much of Elaine success so reducing to 10% until results are seen should be a negotiating point for both parties.
    Also, the agent has to get their 10%. Anyway, if this coach is able to help her to get back to the level she was with Mr. Francis they should consider the 15% but put in a clause that if Elaine's performance is not up standard coach's pay will be adjust adjusted accordingly.
    The fact of the matter is If Elaine is not running 10.6-10.8 consistently, she will become irrelevant, and her earnings will dramatically cut at some point therefore a coach can make her remain relevant 15% should be considered.

    I am not always quick to comment, condemn or bash anyone. Also, at the end of the day it’s Elaine’s and her team’s business and decision. But I am more worried for Elaine having just started to listen to the interview, which could finish watching. Everything that Oral Tracey said and even what Stephen Fransis spoke about in an earlier interview was confirmed by Elaine’s husband tone. My conclusion was made just 3 minutes into the interview. His replies were about “Decisions that I made”. I feel it for Elaine and I pray and hope that someone can rescue Elaine. Elaine needs help and I hope she will be humble enough to take it. Trust me, I say this as one of Elaine’s fan/supporter. Honestly speaking, him coming and doing this interview was even bad for himself, he is proving people’s assumptions right. Elaine, a word to the wise, it’s not too late to take charge and make the tough decision of stepping up. Elaine just think of how you felt when you weren’t even able to make an individual spot at trials, given that you are the fastest woman alive over the 100m. You are playing dangerous games with the rest of your career. But at end of the day it’s your decision, even if you allow someone else to make unwise decisions for you, it’s still your decision. I wish you all the very best and I really hope you can settle on these issues soon enough so you can focus on training.
