Something that helped me! ACID---BASE pH: 7.35-7.45 CO2: 45-35 HCO3: 22-26 Making the CO2 read 45-35 (versus 35-45) helped me remember if a high/low CO2 was acidic or basic. With any of the ABG values anything on the left side or beyond was acidic, and anything on the right side was basic
