- In this guide I'm going to show you how you can add AdSense ad units to your website. This guide assumes that you have already signed up for an AdSense account (you can do so here: www.google.com..., and have already been approved.
Here is the link to the page I was referencing in the video, that goes over the guidelines on how and where you can place your ads. It is important that you familiarize yourself with these rules so that your AdSense account doesn't get banned.

Don't we need to wait for the ad status to go from "New" to "Active"? Right now I have 2 that say "New" and are blank. But, the one I have that says "Active" is showing.

When I singed up for Ad Sense it gave me a code that it said I need to paste after the tag in my website. Where can I find the tag in the latest version of Wordpress? The tutorials online all seem to be older versions. Thanks!
Think your question has been responded to a long time ago but if someone is wondering the same thing, I dont think its possible to put adds in the , considering that no one except the programmer can interract with it
It should be inside the , somewhere in the header, section or footer. Hope that helped

This is Awesome exactly what I needed, I signed up but went through the setup not really noting what the out come would be and now I have random ads that display but they display differently for different load times and some go fight over my weather widget.

still having trouble having the ad actually show up. it keeps giving me back errors on the custom html and the text isnt working either smh. watching the video again to see what i did wrong.
I'm SO confused, my wordpress page doesn't look like anybodys that is on youtube. I use it just online, does that make it different? When I added the code to a widget on my page, it was just code? No ad at all? :(
Do you mean the console/backend? The reason I think yours looks different cause you are using wordpress's default blog/dumbed down version of wordpress(not trying to offend just describe what it looks like). These wordpresses you are seeing are what company or developers use. If that's the case I don' think you can add scripts to that type of wordpress you are using unfortunately

How do you put ads on a real website not a Wordpress one
Hi there - Not sure what you mean by "real website" - do you mean just static CSS/HTML? If so, you can copy and paste the code in your HTML code.
Wordpress is a real website. Wall Street Journal, Forbes, LinkedIn all use Wordpress.
28% of websites on the web are powered by WordPress. That number is impressive, but it's no where near high enough to assume that all viewers of this video use WordPress. Maybe including "WordPress" in the video title would have been better.

Awesome video! Totally shed some light on my issues as a new blogger. I just got my blog running about 8 weeks ago but have had ads populating my posts. now I am having huge problems with large gaps between paragraphs where ads used to be. I added ad injector and now only some of my posts have ads but the spacing problem has gone away. Have any tutorials for that issue?

Hello, I'm using Wordpress, with classipress theme, but can't seem to get the top and bottom ads working, using the adjection? The side bar ad works fine. Is there another avenue to install the top and bottom ads? I followed your video, not sure, it's been an hour or so and the only ad showing up is the sidebar one, thanks
I did everything that you did but nothing happened ? Does it take longer to approve ads now ?
I just put my responsive Ad code into my sidebar, using a text widget, thinking that it would be placed in my sidebar. What happened was I got adsense everywhere, header and footer and right side bar on every page!! I thought this was an issue with the 'responsive' element so I replaced the code with a fixed rectangular sidebar ad, but no change. I then deleted the text widget, no change, still these spammy Adsense ads everywhere.
Hmm... you might want to double check the settings on your ad plugin, it looks like the ad code might have been placed in every possible location instead of just the sidebar, or you have a problem with your theme.
do we need to add ad units for every page in the site or one site three ad units is enough.

I was just wondering. If you place ads on a blog, do you make new ads for each blog post or do you use the same ads for every single blog post. Very confused on this part.
Hey Brian - I think you may be confused as to how the ad code works:
- When you post the ad code on your website, Google randomly selects an ad from their inventory to display in that ad space. The ad code itself could be on three different places on your website, each displaying a different ad, with the same code.

Hello - how many visitors are you getting to your site? If there are not a lot of visitors that balance should not change... because people aren't clicking on your ads. You can use something like Google Analytics (analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) to track that data.

Many folks have pointed out that the 3 ads per page restriction doesn't exist anymore - you can look online for the latest rules when it comes to ad density

It does not accumulate. You need to signup, and then get approved, and then you will start to receive payments.

I would double check with the AdSense Terms of Service to see if you can place ads on Tumblr. Off the top of my head I do not think it is allowed, but I could very well be mistaken.
Hello. I have an adsense account and I am wondering why I show a graph of "estimated" earnings (about $5 a day right now) but when I go to the payments tab, it shows $0 earnings. I don't know what is meant by "estimated" earnings. I don't know if I am making any money or not lol
