Banks are not sanctioning reverse mortgage loan then where the point spreading information.it is only on paper of the bank that too only SBI is implemented

In short when we take loan bank recovers almost 2 times thats 200% and when bank will take house(loan) they will pay 60%. I am im in wrong business should start a bank.

Can the property be sold at any time by the senior citizens in order to clear the loan if they want to move elsewhere? Also LTCG needs to be paid. Thank you for explaining the concept. I am a senior citizen, who has keenly read about it for the past 15 years. I have yet to meet a person who had taken this path in India. Again you have not delved into, which banks give these loans. Public sector or Private sector? Which banks are better? Taxation on monthly payout from banks - I think it should be nil? The current interest rates given by banks for reverse mortgaging. Has it changed significantly since April 2020? It would be good if you address these questions either in response or ina followup video. I like you many of your videos, they are helpful. Also suggest you make an online course for seniors in handling their personal finance seperate from younger people, else there will be confusion. 👍
Why wud the senior citizens go for reverse mortgage when directly selling off the property is a better option. They may sell the property, purchase a smaller house and rest of the amount may be kept as FD. Pls correct if my perception is wrong

One doubt I would like to clear, in the example, 1.2 Cr is disbursed over 10 years to senior citizen, over value of 2 Cr value of property, being 60% of actual value. In case the couple or anyone of them is alive after 10 years, would they get balance of 80 Lakh, ie. 40% ? If so, when.

Bank doesnot pay 💯% of the total property value. If you are going for mortgage, the maximum loan to value will be around 60-70% depending upon the policies of banks
