I only came here for the great bumble's kind words. He reminds me of the legendary Richie Benaud. Cricket needs to have more kind hearted grandfather's and uncle's like them
Great story tellers cum non international players like the Legend Harsha Bhogle also deserve more chances. Specially for test cricket, if not others
For test cricket, by nature, even after being the hardest examination on the field, is a great parallel for so many things in life
If David Lloyd ever referred to me being a crackerjack, I would know I’ve made it!
CRAACKEERRRRJACK !!
I really love bumble, what a guy he is
Bumble is always worth listening to and as a Lancastrian myself I am proud of him
Totally agree. I’m a Lancastrian myself and I could listen to Bumble all day long!!
I could listen to this bloke all day. All day. Props .to LancsTV for signing him up this season. He epitomises Lanca. Statham. Pilling. Fowler, Hayes. Simmons, Hughes. These are the memories I treasure and to hear David talk about those players with such affection is tops.
Wow, as a lad from those parts what a team that would be to support ! Some great names there bringing back wonderful memories. I remember Neil Harvey Fairbrother cracking a great hundred at Aigburth on a hot Saturday afternoon facing the late great Malcolm Marshall of Hants. One of my great cricket memories was Frank Hayes wonderful unbeaten ton v Windies on his debut at the Oval 1973, I was so pleased for him.
It is today, after 29 years of knowing him, that I come to know that Harvey is his middle name. Makes sense though.
Can listen to bumble all day
Priceless interview really enjoyed that
Love this really .. i hope sky sports cricket does a history about county cricket clubs like Lancashire has done it ( don't know the media production the video is on YT )
Atherton and Nas my favourite 2 analysts of cricket.
Love Athers. Nasser does me head in.
Both fine commentators though Nas gets up himself analyzing irrelevant minutae at times.
Fairbrother was a tremendous player, he is not being falsely bigged up by Bumble. Harvey really was top draw. In 50 over cricket I'd argue that only Pietersen is ahead of him for England. Lamb and Morgan also great 50 over players but Harvey was at least as good.
John Crawley - definitely - used to love the sound his bat made - what a timer of the ball. FC Hayes - dashing player with his collar up!!! I think I agree with David's entire team.
I could listen to bumble talk about cricket all day….
Always great listening to Bumble.
Neil Fairbrother would have been the number 1 pick in IPL, Big Bash or any T20 franchise. He was a genius that was incredible at the longer format too. What a great side Bumble picked for our Lanky. Would be untouchable as an England team in all formats.
Ya Neil Fairbrother, superb batsman
Some great Lancashire players, remember them well!
@sky-cricket: There’s redundancy issue in the subject. Greatest ever and of all time shouldn’t be used together. 😅
R u preparing for gmat
Haha. Yes.
Now, if he said 'Sort of (kind of) greatest ever", I'd have thought it worth commenting on. Saying 'of all time' is redundant in a use of English way but it does emphasize the point.
An example of tautology I think?
A little surprised that the brilliant Paul Allot never got mentioned in the seamer conversation tbh
Anderson, Statham, Freddie and Chapple as your pace attack, good luck facing them 😂
What about Wasim?
@@andysouth6624 did you watch the video 🤷🏻♂️
@@andysouth6624 not the brightest are u
@@andysouth6624 Born in Accrington, that Wasim?
Hahahahaha
Love Jimmy and Bumble is one of the best commentators out there.
Lancashire has produced some of the very best :)
David Hughes and Jack Simmons. Got in there at the end !
Two legends of the game.
Frank Hayes was a fabulous player. It didn't help his Test career that he was only ever picked to play against the West Indies.
This was lovely!
What a conversation love from india
My fav cricket channel
Bumble is a national treasure.
If overseas were allowed, Akram would be an automatic choice!
Clive Lloyd too, he’d be a shoo-in
@@jamesmcgrath578 very true. I’d make Clive Lloyd skipper too
Utter magician.
I hear Bumble speaking , I happy..btw is he in the panel for WTC?
If foreign players allowed then Wasim Akram and farookh engineer will surely be on this list
Clive Lloyd too.
And definitely Clive Lloyd
Wasim first name on the team sheet. Bumble has said that
Lloydy 'The time's now'
You're not wrong son, you're not wrong.
I’d say bumble is one of the meanest blokes around...he looks like a real bean counter.
Ohhhhh Lanky Lanky 🌹
1) It's not of "all time", but only since 1965.
2) I could listen to Athers and Bumble talk cricket all day long.
Agreed. Well said. 👍👍
Oh David, at first glimpse I thought it was Woody Allen speaking to Mic Arthur.
Wonderful stuff.
Neil Fairbrother was indeed unlucky not to make it big in internationals
Was he not one of England's greatest ODI players in the 90? Sure he didn't make it big in tests
Yeah it was test cricket where he didn’t really fulfill his potential.
Akram would be number 1 if you include overseas players
Been a Lancashire followed since 1970 (although a Londoner) and would agree with bumble and his XI although my fave player was D P Hughes left arm spin and a very usefulr lower order batsman. Him and Flat Jack in tandem was a great site.
Crawley, Fairbrother, Flintoff, Anderson, Statham. That would be a pretty devastating team.
How I wish we had such discussions about FC teams' rich history on Star & Sony in India..😥😥
Akram’s the greatest of all times
No oversea allowed bud, keep up
Not eligible for this list, but without doubt my favourite bowler of all time.
Up the red rose 🌹
I m form India. Nd England cricket world best Cricket they love cricket Nd Indian bcci love money
Wot about MaL Loye and Jason gallian?
Was Bumble in Peaky Blinders
If overseas players allowed : Wasim akram was a sure pick.
Absolutely. Along with Engineer and Lloyd.
I thought that was Arsene Wenger
No love for Daffy or Ian Austin?
Nah they were good but nah
Exactly ridiculous Ian Austin as an all rounder should get in especially one day
Sir Allen Lamb
Thumbnail arsene wenger!?😂😂
Atherton, Wasim, Ganguly is tgere in my Lancs XI
Rather than Ganguly I would easily pick Clive Lloyd. Ganguly is more apt for a Glamorgan 11
@@beefy1986 Lloyd, and Farookh Engineer is superb 💙💙
@@rambhattacharjee1850 Farookh Engineer is fabulous. I agree. Clive Lloyd massively underrated
Paul Allott will be furious! Watch your back Bumble ;-)
Sky Sports do Cricket right
How do win bugger all?
11:00 Farrukh Engineer.
Perry got no mention
Sorry Crawley not as good as Harry Pilling no way.
He looks like Wenger with the glasses.
Missing nasir hussain best trio
Ian Austin
Should be mayor of Accrington
No mention for Paul Allott!! Better than Chapple. Or Dominic Cork!!
000
Ian Austin.
Amazed he didn’t choose Geoffrey Boycott.
Boycs famously played for Yorkshire, not Lancashire, and got his 100th hundred at Headingley.
Why can’t people just enjoy the video ? It was made clear that it was only Lancashire - born players for the purpose of this selection and the greats who played for our county like Farokh, Wasim Akram Supercat and Ganguly were referred to in the vid but couldn’t be included.(well the first 3 were referred to). There’s probably an inference of bias against non-whites and it’s so boring and pathetic. I’m white and my all-time favourite was Clive Lloyd but I’m not bothered he’s not in it. Get a grip
Bully? Flat Jack?
The way sky treated him they shouldnt be allowed to gain veiwers from his content
no jos ooooo
Why did he not pick Washbrook?
Because it was only players from 1965 onwards, when Bumble started playing professionally for Lancashire.
Ohh you are all missing the big picture. Notts are ace!
Greatest Lancashire team of all time - Frank Hayes but no Clive Lloyd ? ridiculous
Frank Hayes
Coom back to cricoot sir
Lloydy, Athers, how neither of you got Glen Chapple into the test side is beyond me…
Come on guys, you knew he was good enough… and had the power to select him. Not 90mph? So what? Daft.
Clive Lloyd?
No foreign players allowed. He's in there as one of two overseas players, the other being Akram.
He’s not a Lancashire native you know?
Came here to see how many Indians have commented
Don’t think you’ll be disappointed
2nd..want a 🎖️🏆
Soon as he picked Fowler I lost interest in this ...
No overseas players, can't be called greatest of all time
And?
It is the greatest locally produced side. What the issue?
@@davecrawley4634 don't call it all time, that's all. Call it what you called it
Dave Crawley he’s probably like many people who’ve commented on here about Wasim Akram etc, there’s probably a race card about to be produced
How is this the best of ALL TIME?
