Who's still listening to this? Damn, 2 decades just like that.
I'm currently on my like 14th playthrough. Never lost its magic
My dudes, you have excellent taste. After starting it all the way back in 2000, I finally finished this game last night. I was 12 when it came out and fell in love with it, but the Grand Jewel was my undoing. Never could beat that bastard, and I put the game on the shelf. For 19 years. I had black label copies of FF7, 8 and 9 that I sold, but for some reason I could never get rid of LoD. Anyway, 2 months ago I had a dream about this game, specifically about Kadessa, and all the regret I had over never finishing it came flooding back. So over the last two months I'd been playing it with what little free time I have, and not only did I beat that damn Jewel but finally completed this amazing game. Worth every second of 20 years. They truly don't make them like this anymore.
Playing still to this day, for like the 18th time, music never gets old..
@@knoxknifemods Great story! It's hard not to get swept up in the magic of this game and it will stay with you for the rest of your life.
@@Jagarnot Thanks! That's so true, I'm really hoping that rumored remake comes out eventually, but even then, I don't know if they could recapture the magic of the original.
The Legend of Dragoon gives me a nostalgic feeling that cannot be explained with words.
Especially in the silent way
i get ya... not my favorite game, but surely nostalgic
@@cameronyoung5816 - what do you mean?,,,
It really reminds me of my child self, nay, makes me feel like I'm in my former tiny body smiling from ear to ear while immersing myself in great music and good characters. A feeling of comfort and love washes over me.
That's why it's music, it's the only way to explain it
Love the wind-howling-like sound on this music... It kinda makes you feel that you're on an ancient city in the middle of nowhere (more like a village on the middle of the desert)
I listen to this to remind me of my innocent childhood days! to remind me that i was once just a child! with a big imagination! God bless you all!
Im a game and art design major. Games like this are the reason why im wanting to get in the business. I will create a game with a soundtrack that is amazing like this. Also the story will be just as good. When I make it in the business as a well know game designer i'll always tell how this game was my inspiration along side LOZ Ocarina of Time.
Tony Knight I can help with that story. Not often you find similiar game designers with similair tastes.
yea ok definitely man. R u in the business already. I'm still in college.
Tony Knight Same here, but it's more of a side hobby than anything :) I have RPG Maker, but I want to delve into something else. (I have a thick book on C# game programming. It's tough....) If I design, though, I have more flexibility on how it should look / feel / play. LOZ OoT was my first game ....... ah.... fond memories!
KT JH sorry for late reply just seeing this. So how's ur programming skills now
Oot was also one of my very first games I ever played. It's my fave game to this day. Beat it atleast once a year.
Its better than any RPG ever made present past or future....
Yo you ever played jade cocoon ?
@@Goatisme Ain’t that game bad according to some? I don’t agree that Dragoon is the best at all though.
@@Zephhi Yo its a very cinematic jrpg where you capture divine monsters in a mystic transdimensional forest that has caused multiple end of the world scenarios that devolved antiquity copper age and bronze age civilisations into tribal analogo-japanese societies made of isolated forest village states. It has crazy mythical creatures like beastmen and fairies and demons and is chock full of crazy beautiful moments and amazing gameplay, for one you do fight as your character as well as being able to summon creatures, its fairly short around 8-12 hours but got lots of replayability and is an amazing experience that most other JRPG couldn't replicate.
@@Goatisme I know about it, but I've heard some people consider it bad. I'll probably play it, but I typically don't really like replaying JRPGs even if they are short.
@@Zephhi It truly is art.
No wonder that game is so rare ....
its like a bible in video game format.
What a beauty. What a shitshow.
Beautiful.
Who dares dislike this song u sir don't appreciate good Quality music
Still loving the "guitar" playing.
painful nostalgia
This brings back the memories of talking about LoD to my friends in high school and like CLOCKWORK somebody would interrupt to say FF7 was better. It was fun to see this game shake up the rpg fan base. Its truly worthy of having "legend" in its title. Maybe even a remake... ;)
For me this will always be Rose’s theme... One of the most fascinating characters I have ever explored in my life
I hate adulthood.
Sideshow Bob Shit gets complicated.
ikr?
Sideshow Bob lol I remember as a kid saying I can't wait to be a adult lol ...... little did I know 😟
Although, adulthood may have been fun for the developers of this game.
^ true
I listen to this music to forget the world for a few moments and just let go and drift into peace!
Best game on the ps1.
It’s so calming.
I use to remember that I don't exit the village right away just so I can listen to the BGM awesome! fucking nostalgia!!
yeah same here :(
This is some good music for doing some deep thinking anytime day or night
especially while drinking a cup of hot tea .
i love this song
20 years later and the music is still as relevant as ever... Heh. Funny how the elders before us said games would rot our minds, but did the ever expect a gem like this? :P I hope it gets a remaster so it's easier to show the kids of today who I still think would absolute love and adore this game title.
I just has to get the legend of dragoon back, I miss this game so much, What a great soundtrack.
Still playing this masterpiece...
Something about the atmosphere of this track has always stuck with me.
I hope paradise sounds this nice if we ever make it!
This game has such a spiritual profoundness🙏
My best ost of the entire game
everytime i feel depressed i listen to that music to relaxe and i did that for years
Who is still listening on mid 2022 ?
Life was good that time ^^
Feels like heaven and peace love adventurr
It was the village of Hoax, not Hokes.
I am aware of that, but the soundtrack itself is titled Hokes Village.
Vladswell Hmm... they should label the villages properly. This game deserves the respect of properly spelled names for everything, even on the soundtracks.
It's a hoax
lol ikr wtf.
Lone Wanderer Hokes is most likely the proper translation from Japanese. It's the game itself that fucks it up.
I agree bro i agreed. :)
Nostalgia at its finest
Vote for the ps4 remastered versión!!!!X)
PS 5 now because is about to realese and games are produced years before premiere new generation of consoles to be ready to play instantly
Never happening :(
*shakes my head*
FF7 is SHIT compared to LoD.
its a really good game and one of the best but if you save enough gold you can some helmet that reduces magic by half and from there on you can beat the game with ease
Yeah, I wish their was a hard mode. I'd still beat it anyway though!
thecomingofchrisit0
Yes, it called the Legend Casque. It doesn't reduce damage by half, it just raises the character's magic defense so much it appears that way. :)
There is also Armor of Legend, which does the same thing but for physical defense.
I farm the blue special birds outside of Giganto home for exp and the birds outside of Bale for gold and buy those. Everynow and then tho i do a really quick speed run to change it up.
Robert Jones
Never fooled with those birds lol. I think you have to use Sachet on them or be accurate enough to get 4 hits on one before it flees.
I would just spend a night or two in the Giganto Home, and later in the Forbidden Land to build up additions. Had plenty of gold to get Legend Casque and Armor afterwards.
the trick is to keep everything in your armory untill it's mostly full use the 2 you want with dart have sallets on your dudes and wargods on them to increase hit rate if you have shana she already has 120% hit rate add a long bow bumps it to 130 give her wargods 150% she never missed hit the birds once or twice ( blue or yellow bird/00parts) use magic sig stone from the Marshlands disk 1 then next person if not shana use speed up found in the Valley of Corrupted Gravity on shana GG enjoy your rewards.
It's between this or MGS.
❤️
I wish this game was remade. v.v
Remake please
Ties with FF7.
