- Let's talk about Messianic Expectations: if you have the three rebellions, thematic structure, in your head, you will see how the work of Jesus fixes the death problem in Genesis 3, the depravity problem in Genesis 6, and the disinheritance of the nations in Genesis 11. Yes it was a complete work. Sad how we’re not taught this in our churches. Our pastors were never taught this, since seminaries are run by Jesuits.

Not sent to this planet, but into this evil world (generation... age) and so Jesus also did not come to the planet, but was sent from Bethlehem, Nazareth, his infilling with the fathers spirit at Jordan. You said At 4:19, the giving of the Holy Spirit is the New Covenant, But i also see Yah (God) give His Spirit to people in the Tanakh (the Old Testament) in > Numbers 11 : 26, Two men, however, had remained in the camp-one named Eldad and the other Medad-and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those listed, but they had not gone out to the tent, and they prophesied in the camp.

Numbers 11 : 17 & 25, (The Spirit of Yah(God) came upon the seventy elders, & they did Prophesy)
1 Samuel 10 : 6 & 10 ( The Spirit of Yah(God) rushed upon King Saul & he stars to Prophesy with the other prophets)
Judges 14 : 5-6, (The Spirit of Yah(God) came powerfully upon Samson to be able to easily kill the Lion)
As for the New Covenant, the scriptures seem to indicate that the New Covenant is the Old Covenant only applied in a different way by Yah/God inscribing His Laws/ Instructions/ Torah on our minds & hearts see : Jeremiah 31 : 31-34
It's about a New application of the same Covenant/laws of Yah, given back to mankind in a new way,.. because Yah/God does not make mistakes, it's mankind's sin that gets in the way of keeping Yah's right rulings that bring blessings, so the Father puts His Torah in our minds and inscribing His Laws/ Instructions/ Torah on our hearts. And No Longer will anyone need to be taught Yah's Torah ways because everyone will know it from the greatest to the smallest in the Kingdom :
Jeremiah 31 : 34, No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahuah (the LORD),’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares Yahuah. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”

as you said "And to thy seed, which is christ." and that word christ is greek for "anointed" so you are saying the truth. The seed of Abraham (obviously a human man) is "ANOINTED" and so here a human offspring of Abraham will be anointed as the future king of Israel, thats Jesus.

Also, too many have been a taught that eternal life is heaven and that a the goal of salvation is yo go to heaven instead of know God. We have been taught a fantasy about the afterlife. For example, "at least he is at peace and can rise his motor cycle in heaven". As if somehow heaven and the world to come is limited to a reunion of deceased loved ones.
I am with you on that. 90% of christians believe the heaven fantasy. They never fully read their bibles and see all the places where it says the dead will sleep and will be raised in Gods time, to be with Jesus, and where Jesus will be according to Bible is returning to Jerusalem. So that is the destination for risen believers, this earth restoration for 1000 years with Jesus, then the new earth and new heaven when evil is all eliminated. Not in heaven. Blessings

Revaluation is reveling Christ to the Jews in the old testament .
The old testament was about the flesh. God without. Rules and regulations trying to please God through the flesh.
The new is about spirit. Being born again of his spirit and God within.
The flesh crucified with him (old man) and the new man (spirit) raised with him and seated in heavenly places.
The love of God in Jesus. No longer does the law have rule over you which caused death nor does sin and the consequences of it.

I don't think man had immortality at any point time. The man who was made in the begining was given the tree of life to eat bc he didn't have immortality, if he had it then he will be the tree of life but he wasn't. As stated in genesis 3, The purpose of tree of life was for immortality, therefore man being given to eat is bc he wasn't immortal
I think that is the implication Mike had in mind, he just didnt flesh it out. I have heard him flesh it out (and his word became flesh, LOL) in another talk.
The "nations" were Israelites who were dispersed on many occasions throughout the centuries. Maccabees describes a time period closer to the 1st century where Israelites were forced to give up their culture and religious system. Many never returned to Yahweh worship. They were Hellenized(Greek) in their ways of life. Paul convinced them to give up idols and their Greek ways to join back into the fold. That way all of Israel would be saved.
Keep in mind alot of that Hellenized Greek philosophy was derived from a mixed bag of paganism that did stem from the Middle East, as we call it today. As there was much influence back and forth. Which makes sense considering the silk road, voyages to find easier passages to obtain exotic goods, spices, ect. All stemming from the collapse of Canaan, and the cyclonic collapse of Canaan cultures that stemed from it. The two sides of the North, were pointed directly at this event, a stand was made against each collapse, resulting in defeat, and disbursement. We see those same two sides of the North in chaos today, as both sides try to reign in the original concept of Babel, the first world power. Is by design, and not a chance happening. It wasn't just Greeks involved, but one finger of the hand so to speak.
Read Deut32:to verse 10 and think about who the nations are, and how here at Babel the Jews were not yet even begun, let alone dispersed. the "nations" are the non jews.

@@ken440 ok. Are you familiar with the older traditions of Canaan/Israel? The oldest verses in the Septuagint/DSS show that those verses speak about the Sons of God. God had many Sons that were appointed their own lands and nations outside of Israel. Chemosh is the God of Moab. Yahweh is the God of Israel. He inherited the lands from his father El. You cant inherit something you already own. I can share content with you on this matter if you want. Yahweh was later conflated with EL.
If you watch the video I linked, she discusses the Israel Only concept. Its worth a watch if your goal is to learn things you haven't heard before. If your goal is to keep your same beliefs, then don't watch it and be dishonest with yourself.

Please research more of Heisers’ teachings. He does address these topics. The gospel is simply put John 3:16 . Jesus died for our sins. By grace we r saved thru faith NOT by our works. Not performance based . If it were performance based that would mean we are putting God in OUR debt. That because of our works( performance) God OWED us something. The very reason for Deut32 where God makes a nation for himself, to produce the channel through which will be brought the Messiah who will crush the head of the serpent. Four years ago I was studying all this and I made the extra connection which Mike wont. 1Tim2:5 "for there is ONE God, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and Man, the MAN Jesus anointed." Jesus Christ (or messiah in Heb). meaning Jesus anointed. The MAN Jesus Christ. The promised Messiah of the OT, the AGENT of Messiah to Israel who they rejected and through whom, as Gods sacrificial LAMB will be the blood atonement for the three rebellions as Mike accurately points out.
1Tim2, in Pauls words "...the MAN Jesus Christ." Acts2 in Peters words.. "...this MAN you killed.... has been raised and MADE Lord and anointed, this Jesus you crucified." and in Jesus words in many places "... I am the SON of MAN." i.e. the seed of the woman in Gen3:15 promise, (Eve is the mother of all mankind.... a seed of the woman, a son of man) and the offspring of Jesse, a son of David, an HEIR of Abraham. therefore a man. A MAN, Not a God or part of God. But the promised Messiah who God has "ANOINTED" as saviour of the world (all the nations) and raised to lordship (like Joseph was raised under Pharaoh) and GIVEN all power and authority at GODS RIGHT HAND. Which means right hand MAN. The FIRST ONE UP FROM THE DEAD.
Brothers and sisters. Think about the logic of this and put the trinity lie of the enemy behind you. Our communications was compromised in the 2nd to 4th century, we have had infiltrated paganism since which manifests as religious tradition. In studying all this and the obvious logic people wont look at, as I pointed out above, I became a unitarian christian, and recognized that religious tradition has spoken to our theology down through the ages, and caused inflated piety and sermonized belief instead of accurate reading of Gods word.

@@suzannehartmann946 amen. Perfect scripture choices. I won't argue over the word Trinity because I think it's something that humans are not able to comprehend. But even trinitarians try to explain that Jesus is not the father and the father is not Jesus but they are part of the godhead. Christ tells us that "he and the father are one." Christ tells us that "if you have seen me you have seen the father." People need to be very careful in taking away the Divinity of Christ and turning him into a mere mortal. This has all kinds of dangerous ramifications! But this thinking is prolific throughout the denominations especially word of Faith, the nar, Hebrew roots, Jehovah's witness, some LDS.....
Like I said a lot of people argue about the word Trinity and try to explain it and that can be just as dangerous. We need to humbly admit we don't understand fully. That's where faith comes in.

you just stated two of the typical trinity statements most comonly used where a word here or there that sounds like a similar word on OT is used as a "therefore = God" logic, even though different languages in the original have different meanings they sound the same in English dont they?
Take your first one, greek Ego Eimi which is an idiom of inclusion of subject. And correctly translated "I am he" because he was the one they were asking for.
You capitilize it and claim its a sacred name from the burning bush where the translation from Hebrew is more closely "I am that I am" or "I exist" And in jn9 we see the man born blind say to the priests "ego eimi" which translated is same as Jesus said when arrested. So is the ex blind beggar also the I AM? Logic my dear Watson.
And jn1.1 is personification of Gods word, both spoken in the act of creation and written from the prophets, explaining Gods means and methods of redeeming man. And that plan was fleshed out in the promised seed of the woman, the child of Mary seeded there by God.
see prov8:20 etc to see Gods wisdom personified as a woman who did the same sort of things as the word of God.

At first passover many family members would all be saved if they came under the blood of the lamb sacrificed by the head of the house. The sheep wasnt God, and it was the sacrifice made by the father of the family which saved them. Just so Jesus is the lamb, the Father saves through that lamb. We are saved because we include ourselves in that sacrifice made by the heavenly father. That lamb is the agency of God, just as Mike said the "agency" word and I explained above. Agency. Messiah to Israel is a human agency, the OT is full of it. No Israelite expected God to turn up being a man, but as Jesus himself said "i only do what my father tells me... I only say my fathers words." and Deut18:18 says that God will raise up a great prophet and put His words in that mans mouth." Prophecy through Moses proclaimed it, and Jesus words fulfill Moses prophecy. Paul puts the full stop on it by saying to Timothy "there is anly ONE God, and only ONE mediator between God and man, that is the MAN Jesus (who God anointed. i.e. Christ)"
So what is wrong with that logic??? It is biblical. God filling and working through an agent (because God is so holy no one can look on Him and live)
God has provided the lamb, one of the flock, spotless, (just like Gabriel said) and raised the man he seeded in the woman, and MADE him LORD.

You are close to the truth, although these kings including Jesus are not reincarnating, they are representative of the one before. pslm110 David calls the future messiah "Adoni" which means "lord" (not God, which is Adonai) and so David will be subservient to the messiah king at resurrection, and that messiah king will be in the authority of the old throne of David and greater, also the throne of God, which Davids throne represented.
