Hello! I've left a comment on another video saying this already. I have my dive on spacebar short press, vault on long press (autoclimb off). The jetpack still works despite this, you just have to hold space bar for a longer time! When you have jetpack charge, you will activate it, if not, and if close to a wall, you will vault over it. Hope this helps! And also the grenade pistol should do more dmg if you shoot the bile spewers above their head, sort of on the line of their armor. Cancel stratagem throws by swapping weapons.
I had the same settings as you before but I felt more comfortable having dive on space bar, putting vault on alt long press. The jetpack still works by pressing alt.
For me i have dive on touble Tap spacebar, climb on Press, autoclimb on. Has been working fine With Jetpack as that required a Long Press for the Charge Up anyways
Haha one thing that always gets me with the best players and top end Streamers: they will consistently ‘fire and forget’ high-value targets, firing their missle etc then immediately whipping their camera around to engage the next thing. It’s what makes them great players of course. Meanwhile I’m constantly shouting at my screen: “Noooo don’t assume it’s dead. Check and double check! Wait for the body to fully hit the ground and then turn!” Like I said it’s what makes the em the best players and me mid-tier fodder. But I will never not stop and stare and admire my handiwork, or react if it doesn’t go as planned. I need to see those death throes and body parts flying. Even as the hordes descend upon me and the world erupts in flames and blood about my feet. I will always watch those rockets fly and land and smile in grim satisfaction as the jaws of death close about my neck. I screamed at the screen a few times in this one! Great video as always man!
Blitzer Enjoyer here and I found that 1-2 (head) shots with the grenade pistol will kill armored spewers outright or 1 grenade pistol shot and 1 blitzer shot usually combos for the kill if the grenade pistol doesn’t 1 tap. It seemed to me anywhere from 3-5 shots on average with the Blitzer will kill them too (with sometimes getting lucky double tap) but alas time is money. Hunters are only bad when they spawn 6-8+ groups on top of other enemies like chargers and hive guards. I find when diving I end up on the ground which immediately proceeds to getting swarmed into oblivion. You tend to feel like you’re 80 yrs old all the sudden and landed on the set of a life alert commercial (I’ve fallen and can’t get up 🫠). I always find that the Armored spewers seem to have better tracking than the vile titans on their acid breath attack but one advantage is you can bait the melee attack and turn and burn them easily enough or gain distance for reloads.
Hey Takibo!! Love the videos. Would you consider doing “high kill games” for Automaton missions?? I feel like it’d be helpful for future “kill bots major orders”
I‘d much appreciate it if you could talk a bit about movement in one of your next vids. As in when it’s best to run away and when it’s better to engage in combat. And how to move around certain types of enemies. Because getting swarmed is still what I struggle most with, even tho I only play on difficulty 7. Oh, and great gameplay as always👍
I've done full map clear solo on bots helldive and currently working on bugs. If you're trying to full map clear by yourself, time is your biggest enemy, so you pretty much have to disengage and run if you see any bug breach/bot drop. You don't have time to get bogged down in 5min fights. You also have to just work on your mechanical skills like aim. I struggle to close bug holes from distance with the grenade pistol, for example. Once I get that down, I'll be able to hit and run those big bug nests, getting in and out quickly before a swarm overwhelms me.
On bile spewers, base of the neck shot (top side) with the nade pistol is a 1-hit kill. Two are usually all you need, if you hit the un-armored sides of their sack.
This is quite a standard build that most folks would do on a Helldive bug mission. Breaker Incendiary, Shield, Quasar, KG, extra grenades or Grenade pistol are all S tier loadout items. (Quasar got nerfed to A tier, but still).
Top notch work fellow Diver 👌 My guess is that what caused your untimely death at around @32:00 was that fact that your previous Impact liberated so many Bile Spewers that that meant their €*&T guts were flying in mass towards you which yeno... triggered that fatal Impact 🤸♀
You probably already know this, but players can prevent enemy spawns from coming during extraction if 1) you've cleared all enemy outposts and 2) your extraction point is near the edge of the map. Just start the timer and position yourself near the edge, and it prevents enemies from spawning there, since they can't come in from anywhere else with the nests gone. It's even easier with two or more players, since only one player needs to be on the extraction point.
For Spewer planets, i've been running the railgun again unironically. I know i bashed it a few videos ago for good reason, but for this environment it's pretty good. you get 20 shots, and can oneshot spewers (as well as any other medium bug) with one shot to the head region even on safe mode. Still kinda struggles against chargers to kill them quickly enough, and if there's multiple, you have to kite for a long time, but it can at least in theory do it. Dominator is another pretty solid choice, can't spam it as much as a breaker but it does also do very well against any larger bug unit (and leaves you free to bring something like the flame or arcthrower for crows).
You're perfectly valid on criticizing the guns, railgun is fun but I wish it had more piercing power or something since only 4 helldivers can go on a mission. We're literally getting jumped

Personally, I use Long Press Space to climb and Tap Space to dive, and auto-climb turned off. Maybe having two actions on press and long press breaks something, but it works for me. I also would like to ask you what are your keybinds for your stratagems. You seem to be able to move while inputing one but, on terminals, WASD is displayed as your binds. So, what kind of dark magic is this ? X) I use the mouse wheel for up and down for mines, so I can move forward and backward, but it is not as precise as keys, sooo... Well.. It is in the muscle memory now, I guess. Thank you again and keep up the good work, helldiver. For democracy!
Now you’ve got me wanting to try a stalwart build against bile spewers to see if it would be any good. I like the autocannon a lot vs them, but it leaves you vulnerable to all sorts of other bugs if you’re not careful Edit: I got to your part about the poll. I’ve found a good build that allows me to easily deal with hunters and chargers and bitans, but I haven’t had a chance to try it against bile spewers.

For your Auto-climbing key assignment issue, I have a suggestion for you I set the jump to #spacebar --> double click, and leave the rest as it was, it took a short time to get used to, but it works very well for me ^^
Most annoying bug: Bile Spewers. Too many of them on screen at once to be armored with an insta-kill attack if you're caught for a full second in their acid stream. Plus their silent traveling mortars. Much prefer a pouncer/hunter world, something that dies when I shoot it xD
Hey man! I'm not sure if you know this because I rarely see you doing it. If push comes to shove, the breaker incendiary is actually pretty good at breaking the charger's arse, you know, as a last resort or when your quasar is on cool down and you have the space to get behind the charger. :]
Takibo, just a lil tip, when a bile spewer starts spitting, just keep running left or right, diving for some reason lets them auto track right to you, whereas running their spit will just follow you, so long as you don’t get stuck or anything
Personally I like the arc blitzer against spewers, it interrupts when theyre about to spew the acid and a couple of shots to the head kills them. Add the extra grenade armor with impact grenades that one shot them and theyre not too bad
That’s funny. Spewers are the one bug that I feel fairly confident on handling. Stalkers though, I feel the only way you kill them is for them to hit you at least twice. No matter how many “headshots” I land they always get at least two hits on me. So frustrating!
If you que up a strategem that you don't want to throw you can use one of the keys to swap weapons and pull your gun back out. After you throw it though that's that, it's coming in.
On the climb/jump/dive... I use a keypad with more thumb buttons which I've always used for stance control every game; crouch/prone/dive/slide/jump all occupy the same 4 buttons around my thumb.
You can dtrafe vs stalkers to avoid tongue attacks You can "toss/throw" seaf shells if you drop it, pick it up, and switch weapons (all in rapid succession)
Most hated enemy: Hunters and the small fry in mobs. It’s just a struggle to kill them all fast enough while they’re flanking. From there, the larger they get, the easier. Spewers can’t take grenades and I usually bring a grenade launcher with me. Chargers are taken care of by EATs or flamethrowers, and the titans with the he 500kg and rail cannon, of course.
Hi. I think you can cancel the throw of a stratagem by clicking on select a weapon (primary, secondary or support) without releasing left click. Not tested, but should do it. Thanks for the amazing content as always. PEACE!
The armor you're wearing is light, right? The speed at which you move is impresive, didn't play with them much. Mostly medium and heavy recently, bugs surround me no problem while you outrun them so easily. Do you think light armor is best?
I think it would be amazing if there was a monitor near the hellpods that tells you the enemy spawn rates for that mission its a horrible feeling picking a anti tank load out to only see hunters or picking a chaff clear Loadout and then only seeing hive guards and brood commanders

You can turn off autoclimb completely and still climb manually using spacebar. I find this gives more control. Long press spacebar will use your jetpack.
Most frustrating bug is stalker for me. If u play light armor without shield, a single unexpected stalker can easily kill you... Even with a shield if I get 2 or 3 stalkers close at the same time I m just fucked up. This bug has ruined so many of my team games also ; caz once the team starts to die and lose equipement with multiple lairs in spawn range, it is quickly becoming a complete mess with people running away in every directions, unable to effectively kill bugs and destroy lairs... Also diving does not seem to consistently work against their attacks.
This is literally my go to with the exception of the primary and the grenade. If you are like me and still need a lot of samples that is what bug nests are good for. I think as you destroy them, patrols should decrease.
18:10 I have a 4-button mouse (Logitech G502 Hero, nothing fancy) but I like to put buttons in games I always need to be convenient on one of the buttons on the side so I can just hit it with my thumb if need be. Most shooters it's quick melee, but in Helldivers I have my dive on my bottom side button and the shoulder switch on the top side button.
I've got my dive set to double tap on the space bar and clamber to long press space bar. Doesnt interfere with the default single press space bar for the jump pack for me anyway.
Do stalkers regenerate health when they attack you and run away? Feels like they do, you can nearly kill then but they tongue you and run away it doesn’t take less shots to kill
18:00 To use your jump pack with the same button you dive/climb you need to change the type of pulsation (or whatever is call in english). It happened the same to me until I changed it.
No poll?? But yeah, spewers seem very bugged: Their spew should not be so deadly when they are also fast, silent, and tanky. And their borpses block our shots but they can walk and spew right through them! Also! Taking out nests is not just for style and XP, patrols spawn either near nests or at the map edge so taking out nests makes patrols spawn further away (most of the time), so even when patrol spawning speeds up the still need to spawn at the map edge and slowly make their way towards you.
I have 2 side buttons and I tried changing things with tap, press, long press. For me this is my final; I moved strats to spacebar, I moved climb to front side mouse and dive to back side mouse. Now onto target acquisition. Mouse sensitivity, scope sensitivity.....
My controls are: Z key (tap) - lay down. Z key (hold) - dive Space (hold) - climb. Autojump disabled. Work perfectly fine with jetpack (im holding "space" for boost) but sometimes you cant dive from stun plants
the nade pistol is suppose to have its best shot on the spewers right above thier head, i havent really had must testing as when i unlocked it we were headed over to the bots
I used to hate hunters the most but since i switched to the breaker incendiary bile spewers became my most hated lol especially since they can 1 shot through the shield sometimes. Arc thrower does work on the spewers tho
My worst enemy in this game is the reload animation cancel, nothing has killed me more then that :P the worst bug for me though is the same as Takibo's choice... bile-spewers are very inconsistent to kill for me unless i have an impact grenade at the ready ...
fuckin hate bile spewers, I really hope theyll bring a feature to know the type of enemies you’re gonna face so I don’t ever have to see them again. If there weren’t always 5000 at once they wouldnt be a problem but they’ll patrol in groups of 4-5
But wait there is more! If you strip armor from charger leg you can one shot him with grenade pistol, sometimes 2 depending how much damage leg recived.
This game has really bad hitbox detection. There were a lot of moments when I was using the anti-material rifle and hitting the hitboxes of objects despite having a clear visual lane to my enemy with nothing in their way beside the rock nearby.
I used to love the Eruptor for armoured spewers. It was magical.
But now they cut its balls off and it can’t do shit. Feels super underwhelming. I used it once after the patch. Never again.

Honestly, Quasar is still S. Best support weapon Vs chargers and still very strong Vs bile Titans. It's just no longer completely irreplaceable now.

30:00 You can unthrow your stratagems by switching to one of your weapons. Just press 1 or 2.
i believe tapping the strategem key (alt on PC) also cancels the throw, cant login atm to verify
@@AEtherstream alt is dive, ctrl is the stratagem key, which you have to hold to put in the stratagem in the first olace

Bile spewers might be the unit with more Stealth in the game. Everytime I'm trying to run around, a spewer just manages to sneak behind and spew me

This bug has ruined so many of my team games also ; caz once the team starts to die and lose equipement with multiple lairs in spawn range, it is quickly becoming a complete mess with people running away in every directions, unable to effectively kill bugs and destroy lairs...
Also diving does not seem to consistently work against their attacks.
This is literally my go to with the exception of the primary and the grenade. If you are like me and still need a lot of samples that is what bug nests are good for. I think as you destroy them, patrols should decrease.
18:10 I have a 4-button mouse (Logitech G502 Hero, nothing fancy) but I like to put buttons in games I always need to be convenient on one of the buttons on the side so I can just hit it with my thumb if need be. Most shooters it's quick melee, but in Helldivers I have my dive on my bottom side button and the shoulder switch on the top side button.
I've got my dive set to double tap on the space bar and clamber to long press space bar. Doesnt interfere with the default single press space bar for the jump pack for me anyway.
Do stalkers regenerate health when they attack you and run away? Feels like they do, you can nearly kill then but they tongue you and run away it doesn’t take less shots to kill
They regenerate during flee
18:00 To use your jump pack with the same button you dive/climb you need to change the type of pulsation (or whatever is call in english). It happened the same to me until I changed it.

Solid loadout. I'd go for 380mm to deal with big nests though
No poll?? But yeah, spewers seem very bugged: Their spew should not be so deadly when they are also fast, silent, and tanky. And their borpses block our shots but they can walk and spew right through them!
Also! Taking out nests is not just for style and XP, patrols spawn either near nests or at the map edge so taking out nests makes patrols spawn further away (most of the time), so even when patrol spawning speeds up the still need to spawn at the map edge and slowly make their way towards you.
I have 2 side buttons and I tried changing things with tap, press, long press. For me this is my final; I moved strats to spacebar, I moved climb to front side mouse and dive to back side mouse. Now onto target acquisition. Mouse sensitivity, scope sensitivity.....
My controls are:
Z key (tap) - lay down.
Z key (hold) - dive
Space (hold) - climb.
Autojump disabled. Work perfectly fine with jetpack (im holding "space" for boost) but sometimes you cant dive from stun plants
i bind dive to V, and climb to space
i think the use backback function could be just the item slot button itself (5)
the nade pistol is suppose to have its best shot on the spewers right above thier head, i havent really had must testing as when i unlocked it we were headed over to the bots
The mortar from the bile spewer can close off a hole.
30:00 you can cancel holding stratagem ball, by pressing CTRL
You could use the hold button for the climb
I used to hate hunters the most but since i switched to the breaker incendiary bile spewers became my most hated lol especially since they can 1 shot through the shield sometimes. Arc thrower does work on the spewers tho
I set dive to space bar (tap), climb to space bar (hold), jetpack works fine (hold)
Today I completed a bot mission (the flags one) in diff 9 alone all objectives and such with 544 kills 2 deaths at 1 min time remaining. Feels good

My worst enemy in this game is the reload animation cancel, nothing has killed me more then that :P the worst bug for me though is the same as Takibo's choice... bile-spewers are very inconsistent to kill for me unless i have an impact grenade at the ready ...
Deactivate auto climb, keep dive on ALT left and climb with space -> thumb is there anyways, so diving with alt isn't a problem for me :>

Dive when the stalkers are about to attack, it makes them miss.

chargers are so glitchy, some times they have the turn slow as heck, other times its very fast.
I changed dive to spacebar and vault to B, where my thumb normally rests anyways so it's just as easy
i hate the autoclimb as well. i binded my dive/prone button with mouse 4.
About pistol granande and bile spewer, if you head shot them you'll kill them whit one hit 🎯
It's also bile spewers for me as well. I'm still saying " how TF did it get me this time"?
fuckin hate bile spewers, I really hope theyll bring a feature to know the type of enemies you’re gonna face so I don’t ever have to see them again. If there weren’t always 5000 at once they wouldnt be a problem but they’ll patrol in groups of 4-5
I think grenade pistol oneshots bile spewers better when you aim for the main body.
About grenade pistol on bile spewer you need to aim on top of his head, like where his head ends and abdomen starts. Hard to explain
But wait there is more!
If you strip armor from charger leg you can one shot him with grenade pistol, sometimes 2 depending how much damage leg recived.
Try this load out but with the light armor with the armor padding passive👌
Space: 1 tap for Dive, Press(so no change) for Climb
Pre-nerf bile spewers made flamethrowers unusable

This game has really bad hitbox detection. There were a lot of moments when I was using the anti-material rifle and hitting the hitboxes of objects despite having a clear visual lane to my enemy with nothing in their way beside the rock nearby.

Make the dive button tap instead of hold and the other vault as hold
I close nests and factories to get the samples there, just closing them to not loot kind of misses the point.
I’m capped on samples so I just do it for the XP
