Wearing loose , untucked flannel shirt while standing in front of vertical belt sander. Go cut a 4 in square of old flannel and set it alight. What makes the best tinder? Carbonized cotton.
Results can be devastating when your clothes catch alight..

I love it did a beautiful job Mike, or could’ve used a small butt spike so that you could plant it so the Borel drive itself harder on to it if you’re trying to push against it as it’s coming at you but other than that I love it. Beautiful job.

Well i've made unwelded socket spears and tools before... If the steel is thick enough, it will work okay, but then you have a heavy bit of metal on top of a stick, wich is kind of a pain to handle... Welding the socket will make the spear more durable, that's true, and that's pretty important when it has to hold off the charge of a litteral hunk of meat running towards you

Not a bad point, more work but would definitely be cooler.
I’m not sure that it would make any difference though. Even un-welded that steel would be near impossible to unroll to flat, unless the boar had a forge and anvil handy…
