As I was making this, I remembered that someone had commented on my Victorian Letters video about making pirate letters and wanted to mention them in this. When I went to look for the comment I couldn't find it, but I just stumbled across it today! So I wanted to add a huge thank you to Potato Chimps for that comment and contributing to the inspiration for this~
No way, that you make everything come off in an effort dressing up as a pirate just to write a letter, no but the most majestic, eyes tearing, most glamorous letter.
Will you adopt me? This is the most epic amazing incredible thing ever!! I thought my happymail was a bit elaborate and over the top, especially as I only really have one friend who appreciates it. Every element of this is insanely beautifully crafted. The message in the bottle, the tiny red tissue paper seals. The stunning hand painted fronts, the commitment to the pop up. And then your incredible voice. You are amazing, I hope you know that. (My suspicion is that sadly you don’t). But please believe me, you are amazing.
Peaches are an adequate source of vitamin C, so as long as your pirate friends are drinking buckets of peach cobbler tea, they might be able to ward off the scurvy. And as always, another bespoke and beautiful video.
So what you're saying is I need to send enough tea bags to make bucketfuls of tea... I might need to rethink the size of my envelopes, nobody's getting scurvy on my watch! (And thank you, of course, as always~)
Being your friend sounds like one of the best things ever! These came out amazing and honestly I hope they do see how much work went into reusing those envelopes! I would expect nothing less from a pirate... pulling into port just for a brand new envelope sounds like a huge waste of pirate time ;)

Wow, this was incredible! I didn't think a video could keep one upping itself but as each part was revealed it got better and better. The letter writing scene was stunning, ahh, I feel like everyone should own a pirate costume. The shanty at the end was a wonderful surprise as well.

Don't know why so many people compare me to Maisie Williams lol, think it has to be the eyebrows. For a couple years I've been saving some clear vinyl baggies that originally entered my home as packaging. I rarely have the desire to craft with plastic, but I knew that I'd kick myself if I tossed them prior to that moment striking again. And yes, if I had thrown them out before seeing your message in a flat bottle, I would have been sorely disappointed! That was brilliant!
That is the crafting curse! Always saving packaging for projects that sits for a few years until the perfect project comes along! But that moment when you find the perfect use for it is the best haha. Hope you make your baggies into some beautiful bottles!

I have two generations of amazingly artistic hoarders before me, so I definitely err more on the side of throwing stuff and being disappointed most of the time!

@@MechanicalFiend those that craft are always a little mad, are they not? I personally think the small things are what make it ours. Anybody could craft something, but the small things show that we were the ones. The little details are the signature we add to the bottom of the canvas.

Well this is everything I've ever wanted to do in my life, my letters are getting better, but I'm tempted to try jumping into the deep end. The shanty was beautiful as well. Also, My pirate name would be, Lucy Morden, Sanguineous Sea Witch of the Whispering Sands, Captain of the ship known to the world as, The Grand Duchess Of Death. Captain Mother Morden for short, cause its play on mum, meaning mute.

I love pirate things! I’ve been obsessed with the game Sea of thieves for about a year now, and I enjoy incorporating pirate esc designs into my art. For Halloween I made a DIY Jack Sparrow compass, for example, and I really liked how it turned out. Great video!

Instant coffee works really well for distressing paper. I did it yesterday in my back yard with chirping birds, my dog Finley, and a blazing sun. Later, I typed on it with an old typewriter. Joy.

Wow, this was incredible! I didn't think a video could keep one upping itself but as each part was revealed it got better and better. The letter writing scene was stunning, ahh, I feel like everyone should own a pirate costume. The shanty at the end was a wonderful surprise as well.

Don't know why so many people compare me to Maisie Williams lol, think it has to be the eyebrows. For a couple years I've been saving some clear vinyl baggies that originally entered my home as packaging. I rarely have the desire to craft with plastic, but I knew that I'd kick myself if I tossed them prior to that moment striking again. And yes, if I had thrown them out before seeing your message in a flat bottle, I would have been sorely disappointed! That was brilliant!
That is the crafting curse! Always saving packaging for projects that sits for a few years until the perfect project comes along! But that moment when you find the perfect use for it is the best haha. Hope you make your baggies into some beautiful bottles!
@@MechanicalFiend Definitely! It's one of the areas where I probably use my rusty math skills the most often: trying to weigh whether or not to keep a material for a future, unspecified use. I have two generations of amazingly artistic hoarders before me, so I definitely err more on the side of throwing stuff and being disappointed most of the time!

I personally think the small things are what make it ours. Anybody could craft something, but the small things show that we were the ones. The little details are the signature we add to the bottom of the canvas.

Also, My pirate name would be, Lucy Morden, Sanguineous Sea Witch of the Whispering Sands, Captain of the ship known to the world as, The Grand Duchess Of Death. Captain Mother Morden for short, cause its play on mum, meaning mute.

Something I've wanted to do for years is to send someone a package in a big wooden crate with packing straw, Indiana Jones/archeological adventurer theme. Good one, I've done a few 'pirate' themed things for the kids when they see younger, even built a two floor pirate ship in the back garden. The treasure maps and stuff for birthday present hunting. Fantastic presentation, have a good holiday.

I love pirate things! I’ve been obsessed with the game Sea of thieves for about a year now, and I enjoy incorporating pirate esc designs into my art. For Halloween I made a DIY Jack Sparrow compass, for example, and I really liked how it turned out. Great video!

I secretly draw at least a few lines with a ruler lightly in pencil so I have a guide to start! Would highly recommend that, writing in straight lines is super difficult! Thank you so much of course as well~
