  • We could not recommend more highly our tour guide, Chris. He seems to keep a low internet profile but we were lucky enough to get connected to him through his mom, Susie, who we met working at the oceanfront restaurant Te Moana. Chris lives a modern Chilean life and is well-read on the scientific history of the island, but he also embraces his roots as a Rapa Nui. He speaks the native language, and he has learned to play, dance, and sing to his culture’s music-which he does professionally across multiple countries along the western hemisphere together with his traveling cultural group. If you're lucky enough to catch him, you can be in for an amazingly thorough and enthusiastic tour of Easter Island.
We are Lan & Eric, two front-line clinicians who hit "pause" on our medical careers to live out our dream of traveling all seven continents. Our videos coincide with our photo-journal, explorerswithoutborders.com/, where we have tried to record the many lessons, perspectives and inspiration we have found along the way.
