It's a temporary fix until you can get a new one, check with your local inspection station

Its what I did. $2 repair instead of a $25 replace on a Chinese Scooter.

@@FIXMYCAR I bought the scooter used with only 450 miles on it to repair and sell. It is a 2010 model Chinese scooter. If I change my mind and keep it I'll eventually replace it, but if I follow through on selling it I will leave as is. Frankly its really not to bad an eyesore now. The way it was before I pieced it back together and used the taillight tape was unacceptable. It was broken into at least 6, or more pieces and about 25% of the plastic was simply missing leaving a gaping hole for the weather to get into the electrical through the tail light assembly. The tape sealed everything up. Of course that was after I put the jizaw puzzle of pieces back together using crazy glue and baking soda.
