#backgammon - Hry
Wow, you are so quick at counting pips. I'm glad to hear that you'll make a video on it at some point. I remember on one BG match a commentator said "it's not my match, I'm not counting the pips" but for you it seems effortless.
Thank you. Counting pips quickly will save you time in a match. Certain shortcuts are useful: 42 pips for a full board, 30 for two on the 7 and 8, and 40 for two on the 20 point. If you have 2 checkers on each of the 4, 5, and 6, that's 30 pips. 2 checkers on each of the 7 and 8 is another 30 pips for 60. And the 20 anchor is 40 more for 100. Here is a good video by Art Benjamin: czcams.com/video/vBTPbrxUQt0/video.html
@@AlexEshaghianBackgammon Yeah, I am aware of those shortcuts and I do like cluster counting and comparing the difference when both sides look similar enough. But when I see you get it nearly instantly I can see I still have a long way to go. I'll watch that Art Benjamin vid, thanks.
The video would be more helpful if you were actually catching their mistakes. Just watching game 1 there were errors and blunders that went uncommented. So just watching without comment makes them seem correct.
There will be an upcoming video with analysis of interesting positions in the match. I'm also working on having an XG feed for future commentary videos.
