@@jrod2510 During Steve Harvey's time, it's 198 for the first round. The total score shown at the end is likely the actual record that was broken for total points. I don't know how long they've shown that for, but I like seeing the grand total at the end like this.

For once in Steve Harvey era, one player should get 200 points by themselves so the remaining time can be used to joke around with second contestant like Ray Combs did.
They've rigged the game so the first player can never get over 199. They only pick questions whose #1 answers, in total, add up to less than 200. This way, they never had that "dead" time and instead create more drama, keeping people glued to the TV.
They should have more than 5 questions to survey for the fast money round. Then gather the 5 questions where the top 1 answers sum 200 or more. That'd be nice
They need to change prize money from $20000 to $25000. Other shows raise their prize winnings so why can’t family feud which is also run by same company that produces the price is right.

I love that they showed the amount of points for the 2nd contestant. They should show that moving forward cause I always get interested to see how the 2nd contestant does, even if they reach 200 points

In Richard Dawson's Era it happened twice where two people each at different times got two hundred points on their own. I saw clips on CZcams. I wasn't alive during the Richard Dawson Era of Family Feud. I do miss Richard Karn being host of Family Feud sometimes. I do love Steve Harvey though because Steve and Richard Karn were and are my favorites in Family Feud always during my life time. Richard Dawson was okay
1976 to 1985 … Richard Dawson was the First Host of this decades long running game show. I remember that time then since I am now 56 years old. In 1976, I was 10 years old (in Elementary School) when Richard Dawson started his time as the Host and I was 19 in 1986 (as a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps deployed overseas in Japan) by the time he finished his time as host.

I say for the bonus: If the family gets all 5 #1 answers, an extra $10K, however, albeit very difficult, if one person gives all 5 #1s, the $10K becomes $25K

Same here in Indonesia, if you get ≥ 200 points then you get Rp. 20M, and if you get all #1, then Rp. 100M

For the first few weeks on the Dawson version (70's), it was also done. Then they realized no one really cared.

@@valv19 First, it has happened before. Second, I've done the math a few times where the second player did give the number one answer and the point differential was enough to get over 200 had all #1s been given. It just requires that it all align.

No one can get 200, its impossible because of how the points is distributed. The max is 199 a single person can get.

4:37. So column 1 are all number 1 answers and column 2 answers looks like a tie for number 1 (temperature and blood pressure are both 31) and at least two number two answers (6:00 am and Pepsi). (You can tell something is the number 2 if it takes over half the remaining points -they all add to 100) when subtracting the number 2. But you can tell the number 2 answer can only be so high because it can’t be the higher than the 1. It’s possible that 315 was mathematically the best score that could be obtained on this final round. Even though we don’t know all the number two answers we know the most they could be was another 33 points and I think it’s less. I’m thinking there is likely a number 2 between seat belt (34 points) and safety harness (9 points) and mother in law (24 points) and husband (14 points) that could have added points but I’m not sure how much higher than 315 it could have gone.

Probably the record for while Steve is the host but a contestant on one of the older series like 80s I think had got 200 and the host asked the 2nd player 5 random non sense questions and confused her then said turn around and look at the board. She then saw they had 200 before she even came out.

There's an episode when the late Ray Combs was the host where the 1st person got over 200. So Ray played a joke on the 2nd person and asked made up questions like name one of the 3 stooges etc.
@@joa5641 It's just not possible. It's not a coincidence that every person that's gotten all the #1 answers (and there's actually been many) has only been able to attain 198 or 199 maximum. The producers think it's better television having two people in the final round instead of one.

There were 12 people that gave different answers. There is Dr. Pepper, Shasta, RC Cola. Yes Pepsi and Coke Cola are hands down the most recognizable names, but there are other answers.

I have worked in multiple different settings within the medical field and never had I had a doctor to take vital sign. That is the job of the medical assistant in a clinical setting, PCT or nurse in a hospital setting, or a certified nurse assistant or nurse in a skilled or assistant living setting. A doctor will have his receptionist take a vital sign before he do.

I was going to mention that this wasn't a family feud record, but is for the Steve Harvey hosted show.
People, not all questions will make you able to score 200, a simple question like "where you live" will do the number 1 answer something obvius like "a house" with a lot of points, here in the video coca-cola has 60 points. A complicated question or with a lot of points of view will give you less, like in here, first one, number one, 24 points... You just need the correct set of questions.

Not possible in this era. The questions are selected in such a way that the second person is needed.
Won't happen. In the current FF, the questions are intentionally arranged so the first person can't get 200. Richard Dawson and Ray Combs had several contestants get 200+ in the first round - during Ray's tenure, the same woman did it *twice* while the family was on.
I think its rigged so that the second player gets to play.

In the Indonesian version of Family Feud, participants get a HUGE bonus if they successfully guess all the number-one answers (probably five times the amount of the prize). That family would be filthy RICH if this system was used in America.

That’s not the record breaking score in Fast Money History. Someone on a Richard Dawson show scored over 200 points in the first half of fast money. Also, Lisa got the same score Karla Daly got. Karla also got 198 Points in Fast Money 💵💴💰💷.
It's record breaking because it now gives the grand total, which the person who scored 200 on the first round would not have beat because the other player didn't get to play.
