About the lady not wanting to be recorded... I am the same way. Not witness protection, but getting out of domestic abuse. It's unsettling how often dangerous people can find or come across things that you think there would be no chance of. And in the case of recording a yard sale, not only would it be showing their face, but it would also show where they are living. It's uncomfortable and awkward when recording situations come up. I hate being difficult and do my best to skirt it and avoid situations where it might come up, but sometimes a person just has to be very firm, especially if children are involved. It's not something most people think of. I didn't until I lived it. I would have thought it was weird too, but now I understand.

Anytime I go on vacation I change shipping to 10 days, or whatever is needed before I get back in town. Then I update it in the mornings to less days until I get back home. This helped maintain usual sales. I took a cruise last year and came back with 61 orders after an 8 day trip. Heavy shipping day but it was fun giving the mailman a wall of boxes.
I think with AI, Ebay will be overrun by mega-sellers tanking price. The little guy will be undercut. It's getting more and more difficult. I give Ebay three more years.

Is Jon turning into the new Resell Rabbit? Yeah, the warehouse plan works for those that have the facilities and crew. Yeah, the economy sucks for normal people. But times aren't as bad as the Great Depression yet. I can still remember dad crawling up a ladder on our house in the 1960s, at Scott's age, putting a new layer of shingles on our house because he would not pay for the work to be done by others. Dad did tough things - He put down the family pets himself when they aged out. So on and so on. He grew up during the depression.
I disagree on not investing in ebay for growth. You just have to be strategic and buy items that are in demand and sell regularly. I just spent a hair over $47k on new ebay inventory on the 3rd. I will net $250 - $300k on that in the next 9-12 months. I know this because I leverage the data ebay provides me that shows a consistent sales history over time. From there it's just basic math to project out my future sales. I have also been selling this type of inventory since Jan and know from experience that it sells. Not to knock Jos and a lot of other's model, but buying random items either in bulk deals or yard sales / thrift stores is exactly why they have so much randomness in their sales. I just feel those who follow similar models do not have their expectations in alignment with the market demand for their items. No one is entitled to a sale just because they have 'x' amount listed. I was that seller too and it forced me to find a better path forward after spending far too much time listing garbage just because it came in a lot or some other nonsense. That path includes NOT sourcing items because I like and enjoy them. I source widgets and I am just a middle man getting them to the end user after doing my due diligence on whether it not it will sell. I think Jon changed up his model so he knows his numbers and sales expectations before he lays down any money for product. Making informed , data based decisions are the way to grow on this platform. Great inventory is out there, you just have to find it. BTW... My latest purchase is in Kansas and I'm in NY. Yes, I have to spend a few days and 2-3k to get it to me, but that cost is pennies compared to the overall profit I'm still going to make. Expanding your sourcing radius will also help greatly. Mine is the continental US.
You guys must not have money saved or invested. Stock market up like crazy! Look at actual numbers not propaganda. Higher interest rates equal higher return on savings. You guys talk like broke people and do not think like the rich who understand how investments work.

I've had more returns than a boomerang on eBay this week, but hey, going 2 months without one was a victory dance worth doing!
