Down to memory lane. I missed most of the late 80s and early 90s serials as I was in hostel with no TV. Just recalled watching 2-3 episodes of this serial when I used to come home.
Watching younger Saurabh Shukla aka Kallu mama is indeed good experience. I like Kittu Gidwani since I first saw her in Gold Spot cold drink advt in early 80s. At that time her name was Kaushalya Gidwani which she later changed to Kittu Gidwani.

I find her very similar to Demi Moore in her hair style. It was, not uncommon for models and actresses to borrow from Hollywood. Kitu Gidwani really looked gorgeous. So does the daughter of the old lady in the wheelchair whose name in this drama is Kanchan.

I still remember this TV serial was aired on 1993 the time when I was studying in 6th standard in my hometown Darjeeling, the cable television was already making it place in few houses Zee TV I guess was the first satellite channel then , in few houses we would see all those big dish antennas and we used to wonder having in our house also since few of my classemates would talk a lot about star TV, zee and other TV channels then but nevertheless DD also tried it best to compete with these channels and tehkikat was the serial which we enjoyed most , it used to come every tuesday night at 9....gone are the days to Cherish, I really miss those days ...

@@diujay yeah I do...but it didn't run for a long time and the most funniest part is the cartoon kid on the home TV logo promotion, I used to laugh a lot since there used to be my friend in school who would exactly looked like that kid...nice days...and yes EL TV the sister channel of Zee TV same went like Home TV

I was barely 3 yr old wen ds serial used to air on DD... Everytime I heard d opening music n saw dat lion mask,I used to run to my grandmother and hide in her arms... While growing up my mom used to tell me about ds serial n how I used to get scared! Can't believe I found it on You-tube!!

At that time I was around 11 years of age in 1995 so you must be of 28 years now. I remember I saw tehkikat and became big fan of Vijay Anand (sam) & Saurabh Shukla (Gopi). Vijay Anand was very good actor & Director. Title song was also thrilling!!!

but every tuesday i took holiday on account of school homework load to watch this tv serial .

Shekhar Kapoor has directed this. It seems heavily influenced by David Lynch's work possibly Twin Peaks. To everyone saying why the music is loud. Go watch C.I.D this is a well made piece and supposed to feel a certain way.
