I love how sometimes the arm just quivers in place like it's shaking with pent up anger. Reminds me of a tiny dog trying to be aggressive and terrifying, but just ends up being adorably underwhelming.

remove the limit switch, and install the power library. After 30 seconds, the device only checks every 8 sec. arduinos can last for over a year if programed properly.
Why only a year?
it depends, on 2-4 AA you should get over a year standby time. You could sue a voltage regulator to allow more batteries, you could even upgrade to Li-Lon. what i'm saying is the current method of power saving is weak and can be improved.

Nice! I think that it could have an improvement though. Instead of simply memorize the sequence and disable it the same order (boring and TOO robotic) it could push the ones that are near first. If you push levers 1-5-2 it shouldn't disable them in 1-5-2 order but 1-2-5 that makes more sense. Also it should always start with the lever which is closer to its current position.
Why has this particular machine become almost a whole sub-category on CZcams?

Im glad it is.
I like some of the suggestions here. Also, how about varying the delay before the robot turns off the switch... hoping the human will go away. You could also add a sensor to detect if a human was present, and turn off the switches when the human was leaving or gone.
I think I remember a first version of this device (decades ago) that had a hand that turned itself off (a single switch that started it up). In some sense, one switch is more to the point.
