One whole egg 7g protein
100g chicken 30g protein
Soy 100g 50g protein
Milk 100g 4g protein
taking protein by natural foods are possible but for many people thats not convinent and budget friendly, one scoop of whey is 34 rs its equal to 25g of protein its lot more affordable than chicken. Soy is cheap but you can't consume more than 100g daily, whey protein is for less time consuming than preparing a meal. So its a convinent factor for many people thats it.
Whey protein also costly than you mentioned. Average price per scoop is 75 rupees for 24g protein.

I'm all for organic wholefoods but it's clear that all foods that contain protein are high in calories. In today's sedentary modern lifestyle, and people with high bodyfat percentage, eating a lot to meet nutrient needs while reducing calories to let your body use up stored fuel is a juxtaposition. If one is a vegetarian their situation is even worse because unless you eat the right mix of plant foods you're not gonna get all the essential amino acids and eating like that is a huge hassle. Thus, good quality protein powders with PDCAAS 1 with 9 Essential Amino acids are definitely essential.

Hi Doctor, I am a big fan of you. I agree to the most of the part, but you missed the main reason. These protein powders are called as supplements. Say if you are 75kg, to do fat loss / weight loss you need 150gms of protein per day. Its very difficult to consume 150gms of protein from normal food. Thats why people consume 25gms from the protein powder. Also this helps you to consume protein from different sources like chicken, egg, fish, and whey all different sources. Say i eat 200gms of chicken breast will only give 50gms protein and if i eat 5 eggs i get around 20gms protien. so even if u try hard u cannot consume the 150gms from the normal food. 100gms chicken breast boneless is 75rs per month it will cost 2250. If u buy high quality ON gold standard whey 2.5kg for 6500 which give 25gms of protein per 30gm serve. Which will come for 3 months. So the price of buying chicken and whey is same. Its always good to consume protein from different sources.

Dr the reason I started taking protein powered is because to achieve the required protein levels I need more than 2000+ calorie per day.. Unless I eat 750-1000 grams of chicken or something, I can't achieve it. Where as a protein powder gives me 25% of required amount within 15% of the calories... This is the only benefit.. Cost wise it will be more or less the same with buying individual products and cooking it..

Thanks for excellent contribution. I am a healthy male & do regular exercise including HIIT. My weight height ratio is within the normal range. Therefore weight is not an issue for me. I recently started 18:6 intermittent fasting every day to activate the autophagy only. After intermittent fasting my weight loss is taking place in an exponential rate. I take Weight Gainer Protein shake to arrest this. Is there any other way to arrest this? I am not interested in getting bulk muscle. And I am a eggetarian as well.
I eat very little quantity food therefore energy concentrated form of food is necessary to arrest the weight loss. This is the reason I take Weight Gainer Protein shake.
Didn't get why should you loss weight through fasting if your weight to height ratio is in normal.

Doctor my weight is 85 so i should eat 160(approx) as per your suggestion
I am eating 2 whole eggs and 8 egg white which accounts for 40-42 grams of protein... and 100-130 grams of chicken per day so 30grams ... from nuts i am consuming 8-10grams of protein... from milk 10grams of protein...from panner less than 10grms (for 50gram of panner)
so totally even though i add oats... fruits.. vegetables it wont exceed 110 grams.. so i think whey is a best option to spike the protein intake like one scoop of whey with milk(250ml avin blue) you can get more than 30grams of protein.
the best part is you can consume easily because consuming other protein you have to chew for a long time.... i had already done enough chewing for chicken nuts... vegs ect.... so whey being a liquid intake its easy for people to consume it.
