Awesome and super creative. Not sure how anyone can judge its sound while its out of tune being played through a tiny low-quality amp recorded on camcorder and then buffered over the Internet playing on cheap 10 watt altec lansing computer speakers through a built in sound card but that never stopped the internet from commenting before.
Seeing the guitar being cut off just broke my heart 😞

I remember seeing this 8-10 years ago looking for DIY guitar stuff and running across this -- being really impressed with the ides, the execution, and the breakneck video speed. Loved it on so many levels. I thought, what the heck is a "Diresta"? Worth followin. All these years.

DiResta Impressive! I'm probably not twice your age, but I have been around quite some time. I started remodeling houses at 12 yrs with my Daddy. First job, after school, machine/fabricating shop, and on to aircraft and auto mechanics. Retired a year ago. In that time I noticed younger people not applying themselves to their trade, and really got discouraged with youths. I have been a a fan for years but I keep my opinion to myself most of the time , due to the fact I live in the real world. I believe that all the inter web has done is made a lot of people feel able to say things that they would never say to you in person. This being said Jimmy you got more talent in your right pinky then any of these self proclaimed experts on here have in their family tree. All I can say is I love your outlook and how you tackle all the different types of mediums. You are an artist !!! Although I it's hard sometimes for me to see your point of attack ..... Your finished product is nothing but top notch!!! If they don't like the way you think then maybe it's their amount of no talent that blocks them. Keep it up brother. Remember that there are people on you tube channels that have way more tools but not a tenth of the talent that you haven't released yet. PEACE!

It is based on an original floyd rose, with the locks in the neck of the guitar, I don't know why it wouldn't be in tune.

+Marek Lipka This propably has great tone, the pickups arent really bad because they're stock ibanez so they should have a good lead sound, also it is hard to keep this in tune and to tune it up at first because its a guitar with a tremolo, also the used amp sucks really... tune this up really nice, plug it into a dual rectifier and let some lead guitarist play it and it will sound badass
I like how instead of simply taking the neck off and making the body that you wanted to attach it to you instead threw an existing guitar with the strings still on it into a bandsaw and proceeded to pretend that a box cutter was a chisel. You're a real pro who would definitely still have a career if CZcams disappeared.

Unfortunately this one wont be played anywhere now, he ruined its playability, and its tuning stability. Credit where credit is due though, its beautifully done to look at but he should have ruined a cheaper guitar for arts sake instead of a great quality Ibanez that now sounds cheaper than a walmarts kids guitar. But art is art apparently...

He didn't do anything to diminish tone. I mean I guess you could argue the paint on the pickups but, other then that he didn't do anything. He played it through a shitty amp. And Ibanez pickups never sounded good in the first place. Tuning stability wasn't messed with. If it goes out of tune them it'd be because it isn't setup right or it's just a ad trem. He really didn't do anything to the guitar other then make it less comfortable to play.
