You're literally having this conversation too late. We should have been talking about this during primary season. We had the influence to force a democrat primary race and we sat on our hands. Now we have 2 choices... A party that doesn't even campaign in our neighborhoods because they don't need our votes to win and therefore we have zero political leverage with them. And a party that only sees us when they need our vote. We have an opportunity every single election cycle to place candidates who will represent us in the dem party and we never do. We never have this, "what have you done for me lately" conversation with dems when it matters. We ALWAYS wait until the general and by then it's too late because it's either support a party that doesn't need you, support a 3rd party which statistically is supporting the party that doesn't need you, or support the party that uses you when it needs you then ignores you for four years. The days of marching, singing hymns and hoping the democrats will save you are over. Having economic plans and the courage to force everyone compete for our support in order to achieve those goals is all that matters. I am hopeful that a generation has finally come along who understand that and willing to make history by doing something meaningful about it
