What made these songs so special is that they all had a connection with the modalities of each episode. But what makes the last few goodbye songs of the show more touching is that they were release after the passing of Luna’s voice actress, Lynne Thigpen.
Not only were we saying goodbye to Luna, but we were also bidding farewell to the actress who defined a generation of playhouse Disney fun. RIP Lynne, hope you’re still shining as bright as you were to the big blue house. 🌕
in the very last episode, you can hear Noel MacNeal choke up while talking to Luna when he asks to sing the goodbye song 1 more time

I love how this show, and even Blue’s Clues, is more subtle in how they ask questions to the audience, unlike other preschool shows nowadays where they break the fourth wall.

God bless this show. The day it came onto Disney+ (something I’ve been BEGGING Disney to do for eons) was also the day my family and I buried my Grandma Ro. I didn’t shed a single tear at the funeral. Yet, when we got home, as soon as I started watching a random episode of Bear in the Big Blue House, I broke down into hysterics. It was a bittersweet day for me. Thank you Disney.

Yeah they recently added it to the Disney+ service, so you can revisit it again there. I should clarify first, several episodes are missing, and also out of order, but aside from those little errors, it’s nice to finally see the show available now.

There couldn’t be any more appropriate song for number one than The Goodbye Song. It always seems to put tears in my eyes even now. RIP Lynne Thigpen (who was Luna as well as the Acme chief on the 90s Carmen Sandiego game show)

That "Goodbye" song lives rent free in my mind. So nostalgic.
The Bear Cha Cha Cha was so iconic that on Treehouse TV (the station that BITBBH originally aired on in Canada), instead of a Treetown short (the segments they would play featuring the channel's mascots that would play after shows and short-form content), they would sometimes play the music video for this song.
So lucky to have grown up with this series

I watched every show with my sons!! The Best Show for kids and for those who have Autism…It was calming and always my Boys and I happy….My Boys used to want to help me clean the house but we had to see that Cleaning House Song from the show.

This show was my childhood, so grateful to grow up with it! Bear was the warm, kind, loving, fuzzy friend we all needed. I always looked forward to the end of each episode for the goodbye song with Luna, it was amazing to see Bear recap the entire day with her before singing together. All the songs were catchy and good but the goodbye song just gives all the feels ❤❤❤

I love in “Look at You Now” we see a baby Treelo
I recently rewatched the "Oh Baby Baby" episode on Disney+ and "Look At You Now" actually brought me to tears. I don't know why - nostalgia, cuteness, maybe both, but it's a beautiful little number about appreciating who Treelo was as a baby and who he is now (and Treelo is SO SO SO CUTE I CAN HARDLY STAND IT!!).

I loved this shoe so much as a kid (I’m 28 now). I show this to my 7 month old when she’s fussy and immediately is dying of laughter the whole time. I can’t help but smile and join her in laughing ❤

Some of my favorites were the duets between Bear and Treelo such as Look At You Now and You've Got The Rhythm. Treelo's my favorite (he's so CUTE!!!) and he rarely got a major singing part, so it was special when he got songs with Bear.
I actually gained my nickname thanks to Shadows song. My dad would sing her song and I would pop up in front of him no matter where I was in the house.
I love Bear in the Big Blue House and the songs! Every morning when I wake up, I’d always listen to the good morning song to get the day started! It’s too bad you didn’t include honorable mentions in this. It would’ve been nice if you did, but that’s ok.

this SHOW WAS MY CHILDHOOD. My favourite on this list is beauty of the night. two songs from the christmas special Just listen and What if Shadow's lullaby is superb also. i still have trhe goodbye song in my head all these years later x

Wow! I never thought I would see a top 10 Bear in the Big Blue House
As much as I love the Bear in the Big Blue House I really wish they would have played the whole song for the top number one spot
Honestly, I wish the entire soundtrack was on streaming services because the songs from this show{and even the Christmas special that they had, “Beary Bear Christmas”, which makes me cry} was so good. Now my favorite songs from the entire series was {and still is} “What’s In the Mail Today”, “Shadow’s Lullaby”, “That’s All I Want For Christmas”, “That’s My Name”, and “Love is Incredible”. Kind of shocked Disney didn’t do a 2 for 1 on the day this went to Disney Plus and also released the entire soundtrack on Apple Music, and Spotify.
The only problem with The Goodbye Song: Lynne Thigpen, the voice of Luna, died of a cerebral hemorrhage during the show's run.
Just hearing the brief clip of Thigpen singing "it's time to go" really hurts in that context. Tara Mooney had said that the crew's hearts just weren't in it anymore when they tried to resume production. The tradition of The Goodbye Song, I have no doubt, contributed to that.

I was so excited to see the song brush, brush, Bree song but it wasn’t on your list and I’m like aw cause I remember listening to that song when i was a kid but the cha - cha song and clean up the house and the goodbye song were the ones that i sorta remember but not one that was close to my heart. i was waiting for that song cause i listened to that song when i was younger.
I feel like my childhood has been restored a bit even though i am 20 years old but still it’s the nostalgia that counts. but yeah i just love this show so much and i watched it when i was a kid. I was scrolling through Disney Plus and they have the whole Bear In The Big Blue House show on Disney plus and i am like oh my god i wouldn’t know that the Playhouse Disney stuff would be re - installed cause it was such a long time ago and kinda of lost media but i am glad they put it on the service as a reminded of what they had in the begging that’s something special.

Wow there's a blast from the past. I had completely forgotten about this show. I just saw this in my suggestion feed on the home screen and as soon as I saw that puppet bear. It immediately activated memmories in my mind that have been dormant for... gosh I don't even remember how long It's been. I wanna say 19yrs at the longest but even then I'm not sure. So I guess I should be thanking you Ms Mojo. Cause if it weren't for you those memmories probably would have remained dormant probably until the day of my death. Which I know is very unlikely since I am 24yrs old and I have at least 60+yrs worth of life left in me. So in that amount of time I probably could have found out about it again. But hey in this case sooner is better than later. So again big thank you for reminding me of a simpler time in my life❤️

I loved this show when I was kid, and I remember great songs and lines in it, and now looking back at it, I relived my childhood. The top 2 were the best songs in the show, and possibly one of the best songs in the 2000s. However, the introduction song was better because it shows how playful this show was, not to mention catchy, while the goodbye was so smoothing and adorable, I couldn't get these songs out of my head. I didn't know/remember the rest of these songs, but I gave the bear cha-cha-cha because people find catchy and iconic and even made an appearance on someone else's show, and that's good enough for that last spot. If you guys loved this show growing up, then like this comment.

Bear in the Big Blue House is probably the first muppet show I ever watched. It will always be a show worth remembering. The theme song, The Goodbye song and Good Morning are very good songs.
This was my Son's favorite show when he was little I loved watching it with him. He moved out on his own last week. I'm totally watching because as proud of him I am I miss my little guy who isn't so little now.

So many fantastic songs from Bear in the Big Blue House, but "Shadow's Lullaby" is one of my absolute top favorites! I look forward to singing that song to my kids in the future.
