Like the overview and thoughts. I had them and returned them for the blessing 2 dusk because everyone said that they were endgame for some. They lasted 1 year and a few months before the left driver blew as Low volumes. And the whole time It wasn’t as well fitted for my ears like the Kato’s were. It wasn’t a relaxing in listening either. So I got the kato back and am so thankful for them. I never should have returned them. They are perfect in presentation, comfort with the spring tips, more relaxing and less fatiguing in all ranges. As far as I am concerned, these are my endgame. Every time someone tries to claim others, they may be better in one or 2 areas but they fail in others. The Kato is the only earphone that is at the very least Good in ALL areas and that’s why they are my endgame. I refuse to chase anymore hype or headphones that don’t live up to their price tag.

Definitely understand where you're comng from in terms of the B2D (never heard before but I have tried the B3 before and if that's all they can deliver I'm expecting more or less the same with B2) And yeah this is a subjective hobby definitely everyone will have their own opinions and stuff but I'm within the same realms of your preference
Nice review. I couldn't handle KATO's cable, it's way too heavy and stiff for me to take it for a walk, I had to get an aftermarket cable. Pre-owned set can be had for ~$100 these days, crazy price drop!
how bout now...is KATO still relevant ? how bout if i can get pre owned KATO with normal function and good condition maybe in 100 - 110 US$D ? is it worth it ?
If it's a relaxed tuning you're going for then sure it's not a bad price. You could argue other products in the 100USD category can rival a KATO because "it has the same tuning" but in the end if you're going up in price its more of upgrading for the technicality side. But do remember that cosmetics side : 1. The KATO Scratches easily, like very easily 2. The cables can get oxidixed (turn slightly greenish, but only slight) once you used it for months on end If you don't mind things on the cosmetic side then its a good deal for sure
Don’t have money for the Kato, then look at the Simgot EA500, poor mans Kato. The SeekReal Airship is excellent as well for around the same price, more bass.
