Not to be a cynic but it feels like it’s almost obligatory for anyone semi-famous on the internet to do now. Like they’re scared to face the backlash if they don’t make some public statement.
I’m glad she linked to petitions because honestly, public statements in themselves are useless. It’s only by changing our voting habits, demanding public review boards in police units and petitioning for justice in cases like that of George Floyd that we can actually make a difference. 🤷🏻♀️ Just my view.
