This is an incredible time capsule. The way they talk, with that weird mix of Canadian and American accents is shown so well here. Thank you Michael for putting this priceless document of history here for all to see. These two ladies are about my moms age. I wonder if she knew them.

It would be great to show this on one of those grade school style projectors from the 70s.

My parents home on the Detroit River across from Belle Island was originally a French Canadian homestead. The land was in my families ownership for 100 + years .

I went to General Brock public school right across the road from the church at 3:52. Lived two blocks down from there on Sandwich ST close to South ST.

Fascinating, seeing the history of my hometown. Do you know what year this film was made? Seems around the 1950's. I was always disappointed that Windsor destroyed it's heritage buildings, including St Mary's.

4:40 she said Windsor got there first church St. Alphonsus.. is this because Sandwich was separate from Windsor at that time? Assumption is the oldest so I’m a bit confused

CE "Charlie "Fox was quite a guy. I was lucky enough to buy his rusty '64 Ford Econoline Van that used to carry all of his equipment.

Hello Michael I love your channel. I am very much interestd in the history of Windsor. is there a seaprate school board archive of films? In the Griffen hill video I am pretty sure there is a picture of me sitting on the hill for the Honeymoom Suite concert.

Ok, 4th movie seen now. It was Charles Fox from the corner of Argyle and Cataraqui because thst's Cindy Hayden, who lived upstairs, and Vicki Lucier, who lived just down the street. I'd estimate that this was filmed around 1971-1972.

Let's sum up that Windsor Ontario was the best city previously.Because Windsor Ontario has not been around lately, maybe as before I don't know how it was before according to what the video summarizes but it is a lot different so it is no longer the same.I say this because Windsor Ontario is very abandoned as if the city does not take pity on Windsor, some homeless people on the street have a lot of disorder, a lot of garbage and so on, they only know how to clean perhaps the side that is more occupied by some passers-by.
