Wow that’s some great action! Those hiking straps popped. My 1974 Wayfarer gets really unstable if it gets that much water in it(before the broach) what a ride.

@@laserdinghy Aah - so its without the storage compartment at the aft and no traveller.. Never seen that on a Wayfarer before. I looks very nice and tidy.
the storage compartment is optional in this particular wayfarer. this is my friends boat but i have the same model Wayfarer you can see it better on my other videos on my channel
@@laserdinghy I see that now. Never seen one without a traveller tho. But really nice boat. I had a mk2 for 10 years. Just sold it this year - also sold my Laser and then wanted to get a World with gennaker. Was just not really available here in Denmark. I ended up spending a little more money on a Seascape 18. It has all the benefits of the Wayfarer - with a little more space (also for spending the night) and a lot more speed. I did buy a Wayfarer Mk2 SD version for a friend. It was in a real bad condition and took in water but I've fixed it now. Will upload a video of it soon. He even got brand new sails from edgesail.

I learned to sail in Wraysbury lakes in an Enterprise. It looks like one of the training evenings…😉
Racing was cancelled due to the conditions so we just went out for a bit of fun it was only the toe strap that let us down

Racing was cancelled so not to miss a blast on the lake the it was not to be missed . The toe strap was are demise all great fun

We went out 3 up just for fun as racing was cancelled due to the 45mp gusts the Wayfarer world drains really quick as you say
