it's amazing how different the personalities are from the arena to home. years ago i worked for a small ranch rodeo producer. their absolute BEST bucking horse at a rodeo was their favorite kid horse at home. that horse put on an incredible show in the arena and bucked like nobody's business. at home you could throw a 5 year old kid on him with nothing but a halter and lead rope and he'd take care of the kids all day long.
You would jump as well if you had a rope around your balls

It's straightforward in humans: drain the abscess to take pressure off the optic nerves and treat the infection ... but to do it on a bull is amazing. Handling him with safety for staff and the bull, and the SIZE of that CAT scanner.
And he did love his treats.

When you get away from what you see on TV and get in person with these amazing athletes, while a bit intimidating you see that they are some of the most relaxed laid-back animals you've ever seen, all they want is scratches and love!!

I'm glad that Ricky Vaughn was able to recover his vision. WOW! What a bull when being ridden. I have attended 3 Bull Riding events. It was very exciting. I took pictures by which one of them with the Bull Bucking won rwo First Place Awards. Ricky Vaughn jumped and bucked so high. What a thrill that would be to see in person and to photograph.

I've never seen a Bull that could "Throw It In Reverse" Change Direction and jump out from under a Bull Rider as easily as Ricky Vaughn. He's a Consummate Athlete

OMG the care they give these bucking bulls is amazing
I was stuck at an airport years ago, talking to a guy who raised these bulls. He had a wallet-full of pictures of his bulls as calves, as teenagers and as mature ones. Being fed, bathed, exercised.
He had just taken his best bull off the circuit and sent him back to the ranch for some rest and time with the cows because he seemed a bit "down" and wasn't as enthusiastic about competing.
No other bull can leap like Ricky. He flies. What a beast

@@CajunAdrienne Ricky was smaller than Bushwacker so his jumps were usually a little higher. Also bushwacker would normally jump forwards out the gate but Ricky would stay close to the gate so he could fly on his second buck. It's a valid point, but Ricky Vaughn will always go down in my memory as the kangaroo bull.

The judges are giving the bull scores way too low. There ain’t no way that should be at least a 48 even a 49 and some of those rides for the bull.
This is a great story about how well contractors look after their stock and then you have idiots like SHARK saying it all animal abuse at rodeos this story needs to be all over the internet

The surgery and antibiotics took care of the abscess and without the pressure on his optic nerves he recovered his sight.
