- Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

My grandson was born hearing impaired. He can hear without his hearing aids but it sounds like he is under water. I love watching your videos because it helps me understand him better. He is 14 now and removes his own ear wax with a special tool recommended by his audiologist. His audiologist has become a wonderful family friend and so she taught him what he needs to know to take care of his ears and hearing aids. Thank you for making this content. Sending you all happiness and joy from Atlanta GA USA
An audiologist who told his young patient to get a tool and remove his own earwax? I’m sorry, but that’s very dangerous and any Audiologist or ENT worth their credentials would never ever do that! I hope the channel addresses this comment.
@@boots73calol my mom works in the medical field and she ALWAYS cleaned our ears. I now clean my own ears WITHOUT qtips. It's better to know how to do it than have to go in and get wax removed. Literally the only thing you have to worry about is the eardrum.
@@boots73caalso, having an endoscope reduces chances of hurting the ear. I assume you're not an audiologist?
@@boots73ca No apology necessary. Believe me, I totally agree with you! Cleaning out ear wax is a very delicate procedure. It was because we are all friends with the audiologist and she taught my daughter and grandson what to look for to make an appointment when necessary. I gives me the willies when he does it.
I am hearing impaired and I have that same experience of being able to hear but it's extremely muffled. I am always saying to people hang on I can her the noise but I can't make out the words. I have very moist ears and eczema and that has damaged my hearing aids many times. Would you mind sharing how he cares for his hearing aids? Maybe I am missing something.
i once used these special ear cleaning tweezers and slowly extracted this giant skin peel of the entire ear canal and eardrum in a single piece. the skin peel slowly being peeled off of the eardrum is by far one of the most satisfying things that I've experienced. the feeling is absolutely visceral.
Your comments made me return to my audiologist and it was my then hearing aids that were causing my tinnitus. Keep up the good work.
The Welsh Waxmen doing a great job as usual xx🏴👍🏻🕊
Thank you Mr. B! I absolutely loved the ear drum peel, and your excitement is the cherry on top.
Now on to Taylor's video. Good to see you Taylor.
My husband had an acoustic neuroma and his surgery to remove it was 15 hours long. Nerve racking waiting all that time. There were SO many Doctors involved in the surgery it was mind boggling.
My girlfriend, my sister in law and a work colleague were all diagnosed with acoustic neuroma. They all opted for surgery. They all suffered from severe vertigo post op, my girlfriend lost her hearing sadly it was in her good ear, my sister-in-law had no postop side-effects and my work colleague lost her sense of taste. Their specialist couldn’t believe that he seen or three people and I knew them all. Go figure.
Lovely to see you both together again. I love the skin peels and that one of yours Rhys was fantastic 👏❤️
ran to watch as soon as i got the notification! love y’all! 😊
Hi Taylor! Welcome back!
So nice to see the lovely Mr. Taylor Green!
Good to see you gents! My favorite videos are the ones where you really struggle. I enjoy the voice overs where you share your thought process while fighting with the plugs using your various tools. I would be interested in knowing what brought you each to this field and what the schooling is like. Much love from across the pond ❤
This video went immediately into my rewatch list. That skin peel was epic! I also enjoyed the discussion on pathology - it is fascinating and expands our knowledge base (and impresses our friends at parties 😁). Thank you, gentlemen!
great video. I like to see what emerges from recesses. Always amazes me. Yes, I love the drum peels.
I absolutely adore you guys! Great to see Taylor again. Thanks for the video.
Wow guys they were fascinating cases. You both scored with those patients - must have made your day. Thanks Rhys & Taylor.

Great to have you both together on this video.
Both of you had a very interesting ears to do. Rhys yours had a ton of stuff to get out of and Taylor I never heard of that condition before. You and Rhys explained it and that was very informative and interesting situation to deal with. My compliments for your fine professionalism Taylor.
So enjoyed having you both together.

Nice to see you both together again ❤❤. Cool wax peel.
Love the keratin ribbons!
LOVE those eardrum peels!
You two are so lucky to have such a great partnership. I like all of your videos. Peels are fun to watch how far it will peel, but wax removals are interesting too just to see how you wind up getting it out.
Excellent!
I enjoy seeing the both of you.😊👍
Thank you.
Hello Mr.B And Taylor G.🙋🏽 Great Job Guys ‼️💯👍🏽👊🏽❤️
Skin peeling and Taylor's video was awesome. That kind too, please.
Great video
Fascinating!
Eardrum peel was very satisfying. Your Oregon Viewer USA. 🤗
I like watching any and all of your videos! I find watching the really rare pathologies very interesting; things like an ear canal cholesteatoma . A complete removal of keratosis obturans is always a great watch.
😮 soooooo satisfying
Great video. :)
What a great lesson! I learn something new when I watch y'all. I absolutely love a skin peel. I wish my husband could go see you guys; he's having trouble with one of his ears, but alas we live in the US.
My favorite is the 13 cotton buds in the ears! I've been a follower for the past 3 years and love your videos.
Nearly half-a-million subs!❤
Ok. You convinced me. I guess having my eardrums peeled is now on my bucket list 😂
Thank you gentlemen. Another excellent video. My favorite is number 635. The mastoid cavity. Have a wonderful weekend all!!
I'm from Bangor, Maine and I love the peels.
I love it
You guys are awesome & very entertaining! I am new to your channel but have learned quite a lot so far. I enjoy a good mastoid cavity peel 😉
OMG! The eardrum peel is my favorite! Well, any sort of peel is my favorite! You guys always do such a good job❤❤❤❤
I love how excited Rhys gets with the peels 😂
I watch on CZcams but I can never see the links you point to in the top corner... What am I missing?
I love these videos 😍
On vacation to Anguilla years ago, I went into the ocean and my ears filled up and wouldn’t drain and I could hear barely anything. We took a ferry to a French speaking island and I used rusty French to get a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and an ear wash bulb. After 3 days, I could not believe what I finally flushed out of my ears; basically very long ribbons of skin. Ever since, I’m really interested in ear care.
I love the mastoid cleans and keratosis obturans removals, skin blockages are my favorite by far.
Love keratosis obturans removals!
Good to hear about the last one as I have had acoustic therapy sessions every 6 months as I’ve had this for three years now
when i watch these i wish that my ear wax built up so i'd have a reason to go to an audiologist but it's generally empty and no fun in there
I’m watching this with no sound as not to disturb my sleeping wife. I find myself watching you two and doing my own voice over in my head. I have to say, the two of you are historical today.
You should have people submit their own voice overs and share the top three or five.
Love a good peel, but my favorites are the recesses. Seeing what comes out of there is insane sometimes
So I was thinking about the tank...is there a way that you can capture the bits that gets suctioned so you can add it to you ruler catch.
Look, look, look, look, look! We should all be so lucky to have such enthusiasm about our work. The acoustic neuroma explanation was very interesting and informative for patients experiencing the symptoms you described. My father had a large one years ago and lost both hearing and vision on his right side due to a stroke during the surgery.
I always enjoy your videos. One bit of feedback: when you post links to archived videos in the middle of the new one, it has to be accessed right then which means, if you do, it stops the new video in favor of the linked one. When you put links at the end, they cover much of the screen. So perhaps you could simply put the links in the narrative with the current video explanation? Thanks again for your devotion to educating all of us in such a fun manner.
Happy Friday, guys!!❤
I love the ones that have had the mastoid removed
That was interesting to learn about. I think I'd have to go with skin ribbons the longer the better but the peels are great too decisions decisions thank you for another great watch. Do you think there could be a live soon it's been a while? Have a good night
Shocking ear wax!
Phwoar that was a good peel
Can you please explain the difference between the difference of color in the ear wax?
Hi guys I love seeing what comes out and into the tank 😂
Hi my favorite guys!
Please tell me what condition the ear canal is in after these treatments? I've watched a few videos now and it always looks so red and inflamed after
Rare and wonderful.
I love the wax removed from ear drums
I have scratched my ears like that for years & now I have an audiologist’s confirmation that it’s a thing!
I love the one where a nurse put oil in wrong, and burnt his ear, poor man if I remember rightly you said he passed out.
I think you have shown him twice the second one was on a waxvent video
As always love your Videos Mr B And Mr G too
Have a good weekend waxaholics xx
Rhys, please get a new endoscope. When we see Taylor’s videos, we realize just how much better his is. Lol
My fav are mastoid cleanings!
Show the tank, please 🙏🙏🙏
Is it more difficult to remove ear wax when someone has ehlers Danlos syndrome? I have the hypermobile kind and it makes my skin very stretchy. It's a condition that effects the collagen connective tissue.I need was removal but am concerned it may be more difficult for me.
It is a great day when I get to see and hear my boys! Sigh!!!
Advice for alternative to Q-Tips for drying out ear due to mental irritation from evaporating fluid? For clarification, when I am dry and my ears are not, it is incredibly irritating and I have to dry them out. My wax doesn't build up at all, so I've never had issues with plugging up my ears (even with having used Q-Tips for close to 2 decades) but I am aware of the issues that Q-Tips can cause in the ear and was wondering about alternatives that wasn't Rubbing Alcohol or similar.
Vertigo is also a symptom of acoustic neuromas. I had sudden onset of vertigo and my ENT sent me to be evaluated for an acoustic neuroma.
When I was younger, I ALWAYS had hard as heck wax. I clogged the tube multiple times in just one visit. I remember that they did something that felt like scraping and like peeling off. Now thankfully I don’t have that annoyance. I do wonder why now it’s not rock solid. Here I am 20+ years later still fascinated by this
Masroids are my favorite
Getting close to 500k subscribers and 1000 episodes! Big milestones coming up!😊
I have an acoustic neuroma also called vascular schwanoma I have vertigo and Balance issues it does get checked every 6 months
I have pictures from my ear camera to show you. Not sure how to share them to you?
You know how to get us in with those titles!
Great peel. Good to see you both
❤❤❤❤
The eardrum skin peel was awesome 😎 but your links are not popping up in the corners on my screen for some reason. Is anyone else having this problem?
❤❤
Wonderful job gentleman! My personal favorites are the gooey gross ones lol. Infections, fungus, keratosis obturans and gooey cholesteotomas!❤❤

Any skin peel😮
Floaty bits 😂😂
My brother was diagnosed with that type of tumor. He does have almost complete hearing loss on one side. Dr's didn't catch it....but his audiologist referred him to another ENT who did find it( thank heaven).
