As someone who didn’t play Expedition League, I’ve watched plenty of video guides on it. Not one said the strategy is prioritizing Artifacts when running logbooks, they just give you a blanket statement of get rich. I appreciate the depth of information, thank you.
Glad to help clear that up! Yeah, logbooks CAN give random currency and useful stuff, but that's not really the main thing they provide. They consistently give tons of artifacts, which balances out with Expedition in maps that usually gives a lot more reroll currency and fewer artifacts.
Go with expedition and betrayal. Betrayal unlocks crafting, gives the best XP in the game by far, and sets you up with tons of scarabs for whatever endgame strat you want later, and even has some nice potential drops from Catarina, including seriously valuable veiled orbs. The safehouses yields 2-3 times the XP as normal content, and if you have a good clear speed it will propel you to mid nineties very quickly. They are both on the same side of the atlas skill tree too!

This is such a good guide, I've tried looking for a lot of explanation of how to start mapping and focus on a league mechanic but 95% of content creator talk in good details but explain things as if everyone is a vet and keep dumping in jargons and other mechanic that gets lost in explanation. The way you structure and explain things really makes sense. Just sub and gonna look at the betrayal guide and now I'm actually excited to start mapping. Good stuff man !

Rog crafts has given me some nutty gear that I could bring even to late game and Tujen has always come in clutch with a steady supply of Chaos and the occasional Divine, to which I even got lucky with a mirror shard at one point. If you don't do them, Expedition logbooks sell like hotcakes and could net you a modest profit.

I really want to love Expedition, but Ive been a flicker enjoyer this league and with the +2 modifiers scarab its felt like phys immune or unleechable is in 3/4ths of my maps and its overall super rippy, hope I can find a league starter basically made for expedition for 3.26
Stupid expedition question I'm having trouble finding an answer to and I'm a noob and dont' know things. I ran into vorana on an expedition just now and got rolled by her. I think I understand most of the mechanics and probably just need to be a bit tankier, but the thing that confused me was that she seemed immune to damage most of the time even when I was in the circle. The wiki talks about a change where she doesn't take damage until you reenter the storm, but you have to pass through it in order to get back to her safe zone so that should be no issue right? (I assume that that's something they just put in as a de-cheese for builds with a ton of range that could snipe her from a distance?) What am I missing here?
If expedition ever got nerfed I legit would have zero clue what to do. The only reason the game is even playable is because I know if I do enough Tujen I’ll get a jackpot eventually xD That first divine really opens up the whole game.
What builds are capable of running those T16 maps 8 mod with all scarab including the one with two more suffix and affix? I tried two maps with it, all my minion army was getting killed and me later :P. I normally can run anything including full ultimatum, T17, etc. This has been the hardest content imo. Anyways I’m running it without that last scarab which feels fine and sad at the same time.
Need to be able to zoom out more.. so hard to see whats inside the big bomb which sucks in general, but its extra trash when theres a monsters are immune to X

Pushing Quant/Rarity/Pack Size and Eldritch Altars is a really good approach, then just scarab drop chance and that should pretty much tie up all of your points!
Either I am unlucky, or logbooks drop rate sucks. I've made a set of 25 full juices expedition maps, with runic monstres scarabs, additional imlicits, 100+ iiq. No logbooks, few reroll currency. What am I doing wrong? Atlas fully specked to exp and Jun. Blue altars.

I don't understand how people can do the one-big-bomb thing without bricking their encounters all the time I can't take the 'immune to phys damage' nodes, and some of the others give me massive trouble too... So how do people do the 'one big bomb'?
Since you like toxic rain so much do you ever play PC of bouncing? I was a toxic rain fan for a long time. Still am. But PCOB is a nice change up when I want to break from my normal league start.
I went for it but found it rather underwhelming so far... I think I might switch to harvest. Harvest seems to be very steady, consistent currency. Maybe I doing it wrong, idk.

big boom is not worth to pick early since you cant always run open layout maps and when you try to use big boom in closed layout you will lose on 3/4 of loot and chars are too weak to ignore all negatives
Imo in map expedition is overrated, any juicing with big bomb is super rippy on league start gear, logbooks are also more profitable too. I always just buy logbooks and run them instead.

A bad combo of remnant mods can kill all your defense from evasion and phys reduction, and give monsters always crit and a ton of pen. It can make it so that you can't get hit at all.
Fully-juiced Expedition was the most dangerous content we did last league. FR PF could face-tank Shrine-buffed Ghosted t17 bosses, and Expedition could kill it in

She does have an immunity phase, she dashes at you a few times, then moves to the next phase

That's the thing with expedition. Any build can do it, but it can also brick any build. You're at the mercy of RNG on the reliquaries.

Hexblast can stack mines ahead of time, so it's good for Expedition

I made so many divines early last league because of tujen. Also, was able to roll a mage blood because buying ancient orbs
