i used to think that it's not normal that i like this sound!! surprises me a lot to see how many people feel better by listening the h.dryer. I was studying music and had a seminar about how sounds and music can affect babies and kids! The pr. told me that the h.dryer remind us the sound we hear in our mum's belly! ;d that's why makes us feel like this!

+amy mach That would make a lot more sense to me since some people attribute this to nostalgic reasons, but I personally don't really recall any memories listening to it. I simply like the sound in my entire life

Waking up on a cold school morning as a teen/kid to the sounds of the hairdryer from my sister and mother using theirs, makes you feel warm inside..
If you ever move out and feel alone at night or a bit cold, get yourself a warm coloured lamp, some warm coloured led strip lights somewhere, a Fluffy throw blanket to put over you bedding quilt or just curl up somewhere with on general and play some sounds like there, feels much more comfortable ❤️

My mom used a hair dryer to warm us up during cold winter nights. I was pregnant and my oldest would sleep with me since his dad is deployed and I would use the hair dryer to warm us up. I now have a newborn and went to use the blow dryer to warm my son up and the baby automatically fell asleep. I thought it might be the heat from the blow dryer. It wasn’t until my mom said they have videos on CZcams with this sound that I guessed it might be the sound. We are 4 for 4 in using this sound to put him to sleep, almost instantly! Just amazing and truly a gift for new moms!
    Thank you ❤

    Let’s share our stories :))
This will always be my favourite hairdryer video, I found 2 comments of mine, one from 2 years ago (I was so weird 😂) and so is the other comment... so here’s my 3rd one and who knows maybe there will be more in the future.. if your reading this I wanna tell you a little story...
Back in my old country, when I was younger around the age of 4-10 I would hear my mother put the hair dryer on and instantly I would either run to her room and snuggle on her bed, I would curl up in a small ball and hear this amazing noise and feel the soft warm hair blow on me- it gave me goosebumps but in a good way... other times I would quickly turn off the lights but keep a soft light on and I would snuggle under my blanket and listen to the noise- and even now I still do the same.. I’ve noticed that every time I feel this soft tingly feeling around my body and I’ll get goosebumps and feel so at ease.
But anyways that’s my little story, if you would like to, maybe you could share a story with me- I think it’s really good that we all talk to each other and are kind, we are all human and we shouldn’t have to worry abt all this troublesome and judgement around the world- let’s keep this comment section a safe space to share stories and be kind to one another 😊
Who ever is reading this, Hii- I hope you have and amazing day/night and that your life is filled with joy- I hope that if your going through pain or negativity, I hope it goes away- please smile and don’t let anyone or anything take it from you... oh and I hope you enjoy the video.. bye bye now😌

When I was a toddler, I remember my mom waking me up in the morning, her having a job to take care of, and thus having to get me ready for daycare. I've always had a natural resistance to the cold, but every morning I froze, and I was tired, half way shivering. I wasn't easy to get out of bed, but my mom would pick me up, we'd go the bathroom and she would give me a few towels, wrap me in the first one, and I'd lay the rest out on the tiles, so they wouldn't be cold. She would then proceed to dry her hair. Long curly hair, so took quite a long time... meanwhile I remember the room heating up ever so slightly, her sometimes directing the hairdryer at my feet or just hover it above me. That gentle warmth was amazing, because of that, even today, I love the sound.. it was a daily routine, and I'd often fall asleep for a good 20 minutes or more, then she would wake me up and get me ready to leave. The good ol' days. Being a toddler was great, because my parents made it great.

Thanks for posting this! I use it several times a week for my 6 month old grandson. It comes especially handy in the car. I place a Bluetooth speaker close enough for him to hear it and it calms him for a longer than usual car ride. It truly works!❣️🙌🏻

For the past 7 months I've used this video every single night for my daughter on a Samsung tablet, no ads, no issues. As of this week the video is riddled with ads and completely disrupts her sleep and wakes her up! Sad to say I won't be using this ever again as we've purchased a white noise machine. I highly recommend other parents doing so instead of paying the price of youtube premium to eliminate ads.

The noise is so good makes you get away from everything else, my grandad is half deaf so he gets his tv really load and thats the worst, i just like how it covers the tv sound and gives me this feeling to relax and rest pretty good :). ( sometimes i just think im crazy lool glad im not alone)

tips for the women and girls out there: If you ever have to open the door for someone like a delivery person and it's late, then you can use this sound to make it sound like you aren't alone in your house. You can also use other noises, but I like to use ones that make a sound from something that people don't leave alone, like a running shower or this.

It's very interesting to see that many people have some sort of connection to this noise and related to a loved one. I wonder if part of the positive effects this sound has, are directly related to a memory of a moment in time when a loved one was using the hairdryer and we felt cozy and safe 🥰
