I need Insurance For NY TO Operate In A Cargo Van. Progressive has an outrages quote. I tuned into marquee... hoping they can help me solve this final step im missing to get on the road, waiting on their feed back hopefully tomorrow but Any suggestion? I was considering changing my license to another State.
I used these guys for a couple years, they were great till I expanded my business and leased on another truck, they didn't understand what that was and ended up giving me two policies with the same truck on both policies. (making me pay double what I should have) I have no idea how they managed to do it. but they did. They also never admitted the mistake. all the way up to the top brass. I got refunded, so that was good, After explaining I was leasing on owner ops. they still didn't understand it. It was a mess to try and add an owner op to my insurance. I had to go somewhere else. My experience with marquee in NC.
I'm really sorry you had a bad experience with MIG. We try our absolute best to provide adequate coverage meeting the standards of your insurance provider, the FMCSA, and most importantly you. As we touched on in the video, adding owner-operators can be a nuanced process. Especially if your policy wasn't originally written for multiple vehicles which affects your risk rating and price in most cases. I hope that one day we can earn your trust and business back. Congratulations on your business's growth!
@@derronishastephens4626 I went all the way up to the top executives. They acted like I was crazy and not seeing what had been done. But they refunded me a little over $2000 for the mistake... When the top managers don't take responsibility, thats a huge red flag for me.
Big Vic I got a question for you. Do you think that 150 175 miles of dead head is a little excessive and is there a negotiating room with that type of deadhead at play. I just received my certificate of authorization 2 days ago I've been filling out these carrier packets and on the dat load board heavy. Any advice
If you talk to these brokers like you’ve been around for a while but just operating under a new authority you may be able squeeze some more money out of them. 150/175 deadhead is a lot if the load isn’t in the direction of the drop off. There is always room for negotiation if dealing with brokers.

No contract with Amazon, just a carrier account with them.
