    A little over a year ago, during our 1st lockdown, CZcams suggested I might want to watch a young man, with a few 10s of thousands of followers, clearing drains.
    One year on, there are a several 100s of thousands of viewers still watching a more mature young man clearing drains.

      Yeah really. I have been noticing over the last five at least that there are ever fewer tree frogs and other frogs making noise near my home every year. So it is good to know those frogs will have a chance at life.

      When I was a kid back in the 60's and 70's frogs and snakes were all over the place. I rarely see snakes any more, or bees for the matter. I remember fields of clover and getting stung a LOT during the summer.

      Where my grandma lives at now, when we first started to be weekenders there in 1989, there was a chorus of bullfrogs all night, now there are hardly any and a ton of mosquitos. Not sure if the frogs died because of anything that the farmers use on their fields, large birds, people frog giggin' to much, or a combination of the above.

    Something that doesn't get brought up often but that is absolutely true and important is that these videos highlight the importance of volunteers to the smooth operation of cities.

      Not just volunteers, but specifically it shows the importance of workers who diligently maintain systems and highlight inefficiencies/inadequacies that could/do lead to system failures. We put a lot of faith into infrastructure that needs routine care, and we need to make sure that that infrastructure is upkept.

      @@rudesword2852 You dont need to maintain if you build with quality. Look at the difference between 1880's culverts and modern culverts. Back then they were cast iron, laid in limestone or concrete and were very wide. Most of them still stand today and will last thousands of years.

      I think a part of that reason we feel this is because in a way we as an audience are in a dialectical relationship with Post 10. The community loves seeing his work and he reciprocates by sharing his time. I think he’d do this work with or without CZcams considering his great love for that balance between infrastructure and nature but him continuing to share it is only because of the great public response that makes it fun for him to share.
      Sorry if I’m talking weird like an alien or something, I’ve been in soft isolation this whole time lol

    I think why I like coming here so much and why he gets so many recommends is because we get to go somewhere on youtube where the content creator has absolutely no agenda and doesn't use any sort of underhanded language to play with my emotions. We're showing up to a job and getting work done. The water sounds inducing a calming effect as our blood pressure lowers.

    I wouldn't know what a tick looked like to even be able to look for them. I can't believe how fast the clog cleared after 3-4 grabs with the rake. King of the clogged culverts!     I just can’t explain it... this was so enjoyable to watch. It looks like he’s in the middle of nowhere and the last living soul on earth. Post 10 is the caretaker of everything that’s left after all the other humans vanished. He’s doing stuff I can only dream of.

    Somehow stumbled upon your video and was intrigued by the whole video, but you really won me over when you saw one of the last clogged drains and the frog eggs caught your eye. I just want to commend you for knowing your stuff and being a stand up human being by doing the work most wont at the same time keeping an eye out for the nature that keeps us all here.
