If you’re looking to do a guide on ATEEZ the 40 min long one by ETINI is probably the best/most informative if you’re actually looking to learn about all the members and the origin of the group in depth! I understand that it would be quite long so the ‘An actually helpful guide to ateez’ by kang yeosnack is also a good, shorter alternative. HOWEVER if you’re looking to learn more about their crack behavior I highly recommend reacting to some unhelpful guides to ATEEZ 😂

Hala hala represents the greed and chaos of emotions, that is why it doesn't follow a specific mood and feels chaotic and all over the place. Ateez has a lore and as I said hala hala represent the bad side of their feelings such as jealousy, greed etc, sort of like their alter egos. Thats why this specific song has a lot of changes.
Just want to point out that the "Performance Version" of the songs only focuses on the dance aspect of the song. So, something like what you would see them perform on stage. To get the storyline you would need to watch the other version of the MV.
Unfortunately in this case there are no other versions of the MV's. Pirate King and HALA HALA are just performance versions only.

In Say My Name you saw the guys in “normal outfits” but in Halla Halla for instance at 11:09 you have the outfits in Halla Halla. The concept is linked together for both songs but I’m not big-brain enough to put it into words.

Edit: I don't know if you noticed in Say my name, the line "my name is, my name is, A to the Z" which is in reference to Ateez name itself. Also, the Korean script for Ateez is phonetically closer to "ay-tee-z". I hope you didn't feel corrected because of accent, it's just one of those things that appears so often, being accurate about doesn't hurt :)
Glad you're liking the songs. Pirate king is really a top tier debut song, personally Hala Hala (no idea of it's live or live either 😅) is my fave of the 3, I find it such a bop

The guide is definitely recommended, but I'll try to give a quick background on how to tie just these three together in storyline/theory format
*Pirate King* - their debut song that introduces the Pirate concept/universe by seeking the Treasure that will make them the Pirate Kings - From their first album _Treasure EP. 1: All to Zero_
*HALA HALA* - where we first get introduced to their future selves the HALATEEZ who are presumed to be from a post-apocalyptic future where they are soldiers for a tyrant, but don't want to be there (marching choreo ties this theory). The trumpet with the flag at the opening of the video represents ATEEZ, the megaphone with the flag is HALATEEZ - From their second album _Treasure EP.2: Zero to One_
*Say My Name* - also from the second album where ATEEZ first gets introduced to HALATEEZ but are unsure of who/what they are.
There comes a point where they truly discover each other and anarchy turns out to be the goal...but I'll let you dive down that rabbit hole. Finding the little eggs they drop throughout their videos is half the fun. Also, at the end of a lot of their videos you'll get a glimpse into the next release to keep you vested in to the story.

Hala Hala is definitely very unique song, it attacks you in so many ways and could take some time to get used to it. But once you see them performing it live there's no going back, they go so hard they sometimes break their mics.
Yes the 40min video "a HELPFUL guide to stanning ateez." by ETINI is the best out there, it gives you good look at the group as a whole, like what they stand for etc. and also introduces to each member. A lot of other reactors have checked that out so I think you are fine^^
But if that worries you or is too long, then the next best guide is "An actually helpful guide to ATEEZ (에이티즈) -Updated 2021" by Kang Yeosnack (put subs on for the updated info as the guide was made in 2020 originally)

Pirate king is their debute song, and say my name and hala hala is both in the second (mini) album. So these songs are some of their older songs, and oldest (debute song)

You pointed out that you don’t know any of their names, for me when I first became a Atiny(Their Fandom Name) it’s was easy to point out the rappers Song Mingi and Kim Hongjoong.
Song Mingi or just Mingi, always says “Fix On” before he raps and he’s the rapper who has the deep voice.
Where as for Kim Hongjoong or just Hongjoong, he’s always has a laugh or chuckle before he starts rapping, he doesn’t have a deep voice and he’s the leader of the group.
But fully recommend their MV’s Wave, Aurora, Illusion or Treasure(Treasure is their other debut song along with Pirate King)

I love ATEEZ. They really got me hooked into kpop. Most of my playlists are now kpop including stray kids, ikon amd btob. All amazing artists. A new group you should check out bro is Just B. Their first stage dbut is called Get Away but watch the front view camera version with them in the red suits. Best version. Their first official music video is called Damage which is awesome.
