- Since 1986, Dutch master Anton Corbijn’s timeless and brooding aesthetic has cemented Depeche Mode’s reputation as effortlessly cool and cutting edge. With over 500 photographs from Corbijn’s personal archives, some never seen before, as well as stage set designs, sketches, album covers, and personal observations from Corbijn, this volume visually amplifies his stunning impact on the world’s biggest cult band.
In this video, Anton Corbijn presents the Collector’s Edition (No. 201-1,986), each signed by the photographer and Depeche Mode.

My "I need this in my life"-gland just exploded. Hnnngh.
Beautiful...900 USD. Probably wait to the standard version.....but this would be an amazing book to have.
Absolutely stunning and gorgeous coffee table book 🖤🖤🖤🖤
it's for fans who have money......
For that price, I'd expect one of the band members to deliver the book to me in person.
You're right! 😂
Alan Wilder...
Yo elijo al ángel de Martin Gore!!!!

Where is Vince and Alan signature?
Exactly. I was going to buy this and then I saw that it was David, Ginger Bitch and Martin only who signed it. Nope. I can only justify paying that price if Alan Wilder signed it. Ginger Bitch’s signature isn’t worth shit.
I see Alan didn't make the cover just like he was nearly left off the album cover of 'Songs of Faith and Devotion'!
I would absolutely love to get a copy of this.
Early Christmas present ... Besten Dank an Anton, Gruss aus Berlin !! _\m/
Genius
Can't wait to have this wonderful and unique piece of music history in my hands... Hugz from Austria❤
Will this book come out in a more humane price range ??
A book designed only for rich people like Dave or Anton , not for the fans who has been buying their music for the last 40 years and thanks to us they literally shits gold.Really greedy
Nothing to do with the band. Stop being daft, the Anne Leibowitz book in the same format sells at €2.500,- so I would argue the sell Antons unique work to cheaply!
@@MovieViking It is paper. Nothing paper is worth that much. Everything wrong with this.
@@MovieViking I would buy the book, maximum for the price of 450, more than that.It looks excessive, far expensive for a book.I've got books from that brand and doesn't cost that much. The price is fucking insulting maybe not for you as you probably also shit gold or clean your ass with 50 pounds notes or 500 euros note.If you can afford to do it you can buy the book.
@@IKKI305 Taschen released a slightly smaller version of this book for $150 in 2021. Taschen limited edition books are generally $1000 or more.
$900 DOLLARS????? Love DM but not THAT much! 🐱
Una reliquia✓
AW missing!
Anton says, these are the initials of the first Chapter. Alan wasn't a Bandmember at this time. He's in the second one.
@@alfn8 Then Vince should have signed on that page...
Look at the sample pages, there are photos of AW and VC in the book.

OK I'm get so fkn' mad at this 'Alan's left stuff' , that so fooking bored!!!! Shiiid.…. The Depeche Mode are Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and Andy Fletcher. That's all. Or/then where are Christian Eigner and Peter Gordeno, just cuz' they’ve been playing in the band for a long time, right?! ❤
@@alfn8 is Alan actually in there?
where is ALAN WiLDER autograph ? WTF ?!
Definitely an object of desire but even more so definitely a slap in the face of many regular fans, this costly exercise of a book showing them where they're at. To an extent, it is understandable that producing such a volume is costly but asking to pay 750 - 1500 GBP for the final product is beyond unscrupulous, regardless of any "limited edition" or "de-luxe" excuses for it.
The Anne Leibowitz book in the same format sells at €2.500,- so I would argue the sell Antons unique work to cheaply!
@@MovieViking She is an idiot too for selling it for that much.
The limited edition books sold out very fast. Certainly so fast that I missed out on it.
Wow expensive! Of course it's a very large quality book for the price with rare pictures and genuine band autographs, if I had the money spare I probably would ...but I don't, I'm just a humble slave to a simple job and this is beyond my dreams.
Maybe a much lower cost unlimited edition (and maybe a semi limited run with just Anton's signature after all he's the artist that took the pics)
I really admire Anton's photo skills/art but this one's for the Uber fans of DM and AC with deep, deep pockets.
Yo también humilde...
Habrá que conformarse y mirarlo en una librería.Tampoco lo encontré...🤔😣😟☹
@@AndreaAnd-gg4ye Si. also probably too expensive for libraries! 😂
Where is Alan's initials?
Where is the "AW" ?????????????????
Ordered and paid ! Now, waiting for the postman... Regarding Vince & Alan, big fan too but.. (spoiler alert) they are NOT in the band anymore.
Well, spoiler alert, one of them the WAS in the band at the time most of these photos were taken and had he not been, the organ demo of Enjoy the Silence would have been the final version, just like today where they gather in a NY loft to record uninspired versions of Martin's demos, and Black Celebration, MFTM and 101 would never have happened...
Spoiler alert, asshole, the only reason DM ever achieved any success comes down to Alan Wilder’s contributions and I will physically fight anyone that says otherwise. This should have included Alan and Vincent for this obnoxious price. They were members and they should be recognized for that.
заебись !!!
AC/DM might have been a catchier title. 🤪
crazy pandemic covid2 prise !
It’s unfortunate this larger version wasn’t available to us Peasants. I hope they reconsider an unsigned edition that’s just as big. I’d be first in line 👎🏻
Yes 750 € is a lot of money for a favorite band unique. There are currently few opportunities for culture, concerts or sports events... Saving - on what / for what? Taschen Verlag (Book Publisher) here in Cologne is of very good quality. Who has the Christmas bonus? - Why not!
Kind Regards from Köln - Cologne/Germany
I have the same new book if anyone wants it I sell it for whoever is interested
No AW????
It's missing a critical signature.
Mmmmhmm it is which would be worth the price of this book alone.
ridiculously pricey, yet another item for taschen books colectors - mainly snobish people - not for DM fans! Such a shame...
There's a much cheaper one now available - only $125 USD.. pretty much covers the printing
Fans con plata! No es mi caso☹
Could not been more expensive? ¬¬
Front cover is shocking. Look at those fonts! Come on! You've done great work until 2005. Especially SOFAD and Ultra era. But the last 15 years has been nothing short of shocking.
I could justify the price tag if ALL members of Depeche Mode past and present were represented. Idgaf about Ginger Bitch, I want Alan’s contribution recognized and Depeche Mode is now Peh Mode without him. They stopped being DM in 1995. I did buy the non limited edition, but it is still sitting it its box, still wrapped in its plastic. I only bought it for the Wilder years. I won’t be looking at anything past that.
Where is Vince and Alan? Their signatures are missing! And what a joke... milking the fans once again!!!
Take a look at the Taschen site - the books that comes closest to this are all much more expensive. Ie €2.500,- for an Anne Leibowitz book.
I know. For that price, Alan Wilder better be hand delivering this to me.
