Asura Cave - Guru Rinpoches enlightenment cave in Pharping, Nepal

Asura cave - the cave where Guru Rinpoche attained enlightenment through the practice of Vajrakilaya.
After he did a three months retreat on Yangdak Heruka in the lower cave of Yangleshö, winter came and he moved to the more sunny, upper cave of Yangleshö, known as Asura cave. Here he continued his retreat until he faced obstacles by local gods (actually half gods - Asuras). He switched his practice to Vajrakilaya, overcame the demonic obstacles and attained enlightenment.
The area is surrounded by many small monasteries.
In this video we first see a very small cave below Asura cave, where Guru Rinpoche also meditated. For the remainder of the video we explore the main cave - Asura cave, which is located in Pharping, Nepal.
