No 90hz screen, no reverse wireless charging, no gorilla glass 6, no fingerprint sensor in screen, Only 4000mah battery.
They make good phones but nothing really stands out with them. There's nothing special With their phones except the built in dac I would say, if they even still have the quad dac. Like why would anyone take this over the s10+ that's 100$ less?

@@MrFarre90 90 Hz OLED only exist on OP atm. Reverse wireless charging is not a feature worth paying a premium for imo. gg 6 is still glass, i really dont think there is much of a difference. Front finger print sensor is not really an upgrade unless you keep the rear sensor. "Only" a 4k battery when the one 90 hz OLED phone in the market has 3700 mah.
Ok the problem is, there isn't phone that packs ALL the premium features hardware AND software wise. LG imo, is an incredible overall package, both hardware and software. Its just not as pretty. And the name is not as known

Axel Espinal but really how useful is said device without a gap when it’s not water or dust resistant at all, very fragile, and worst of all has a very soft plastic screen that even a fingernail can permanently scratch?
It’s a neat design on paper, but in real world use it’s just not even close to good enough. None of the flexible display smartphones will hold up in real world use, and will be covered in scratches and looking like its many years old in a matter of weeks.
Maybe the flexible display will find a useful home in tablets that are not as prone to as much abuse, but even then they still will have durability issues
But as things are at the moment, the folding display smartphone will likely never catch on, other than maybe a few niche novelty phones. They just are way too fragile for a home in mainstream smartphones

I also don't think foldable phones are really going to catch on that well, the fact of the matter is that they're inherently much more fragile even when they haven't made the mistakes the fold has made, that and their high pricepoint inherent in being a _new_ and difficult technology will lead to "budget options" probably being even more fragile than the flagships. Fact of the matter is with a single screen, non-folding phone, it's got a decent amount of advantages for durability, with a hinge, a fold in the middle of the screen, heavier weight and a plastic screen, foldable phones are going to be fragile, and if you bought one for $2000, really, are you going to take it out with you? Hell would you even let someone else hold something like that? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt this whole "Foldable" thing is going to become that popular.

I was with Samsung from the S2 to the Note 4 (favorite phone till then.) I've been rocking the LG V20 for the last couple of years and I love it. It's easy to fix (changed the earpiece, screen, and thermal paste), has a flat screen, headphone jack, IR blaster. I would love the V50, but I'll keep this until I can't revive it.

No. The idea of foldable phone is you can turn your single display into tablet widescreen display. Not two different screen.

The Moto patented design that might be coming out at the end of q4 2019 looks promising. Problem is, Moto sucks now. Small ass battery, same one on the original Moto Z which had extremely bad deterioration issues, and the phone is gonna have all mid tier specs for $1500. I understand that the flexible oled panel probably costs more, but it ain't that much more. I mean, the Galaxy flagships have had semi flex oled for 3 years now, all these other phones are getting waterfall displays. On top of that, the actual screen is plastic on these phones. All these manufacturers gonna keep raising prices and be shocked when people stop buying in the masses.

      Agreed
While yeah you don’t really get one big screen with them combined, the fact that this works much better, and the screens are glass rather than weak soft plastic that will get covered in scratches in a few days, this is a much better real world solution.
This is also water and dust resistant unlike folding display phones as well
(And this is definitely more durable for the occasional drop too)
The folding screen, while futuristic looking, just is not anywhere near durable enough for actual real world use.
And it doesn’t seem like there will be any way to fix the problems that come with a flexible screen. The soft plastic screen of a flexible display being the worst of the trade offs. When a fingernail is able to permanently scratch the screen of your phone...yeah that is not good lol

The LG V20 is shit in 2019 tbh. The software is aready outdated unless you get the 8.0 oreo update & even then it's still bad because it will never get updates anymore, the LCD screen is not very bright & gets screen burn in easily. The 8mp rear wide angle camera is outdated. The selfie camera is only 5mp & is shit. The speaker is bad. Aaaannd finally, the data connection on an unlocked At&t version is horrible. Honestly if anyone wants the V20 instead of the LG G7 ThinQ in 2019, you should reconsider.
